What I loved about each chapter are Dexter’s stories which position you to think outside the box, as well as his usage of acronyms to drive the principles home. Dexter has once again opened us his life his wins and losses and let us peer inside. His latest book not only shines the light on the the twelve biggest mistakes anyone can make as they endeavor to grow professional relationships. I love that with every chapter he has broken each one down into a very simple and concise formula.Identify the mistake, explain why it is a problem, what can be the potential result of making the mistake,, and then what can done to avoid this mistake.Lastly and for me this is what sets this book apart is the section that provides the place for us to acknowledge and relate to the mistakes and then steps to help you not just stop making the mistake, but how to get past and keep building and growing professional relationships.
We are also left with a challenge at the end; to identify the three easiest mistakes we make and work on those until we have mastered them and then continue on to work through the remaining ones.If you are serious about getting better and expanding and growing your awareness in the who what when where and how to build professional relationships.Pick up this book it is an invaluable resource.
