My kids are 4 1/2 and 6 and take lunches to school 4 days a week. Every day, I send them to school using no paper or plastic bags. I LOVE these ITZY RITZY reusable bags. I've been using them since the beginning of September. I own 3 of the larger sandwich size (which these are) and 6 of the smaller snack size ones (you should get those, too). I'm planning to buy another sandwich size one for my husband's Christmas stocking, plastic bags are such a waste! At the end of the week, I toss them all in the washing machine, let them air dry, and they are ready for the following week. These are the best. The fact that they are machine washable, makes it all worth it. No waste, easy to clean!

My daughter's school recently announced that they were making efforts to be more ecologically responsible and would no longer provide plastic cutlery, paper products, etc for lunches and snacks. This move inspired me to find an alternative for plastic bags and to be more green in our own daily activities. I heard about this product and purchased the bags in a couple different sizes. We love them as they are easy to clean and cute, too. My husband even uses these to carry his lunch items. I will definitely purchase more. One bit of advice--be sure to eat any crackers or chips within a day as they can get stale if left in the bag.

These bags are wonderful! They hold a sandwich perfectly or any other things I want to put in them for lunches. I have been using them for probably around two years and they have held up great. I throw them in with my regular laundry and even put them in the dryer. I like the zipper, rather than other brands that have velcro. It is quiet, closes completely, and doesn't snag in the laundry.

Great eco-friendly alternative to ziplock bags! I've used this not only for snacks but also for small items in my diaper bag--- for example, pacifiers, lotions/creams and lip balms. It is also great for travel as you can use ir for small toiletries, first aid kits or a makeup bag! The waterproof lining is very convenient for cleaning so you never have to worry about leaks. I also like that it's a zip top and not velcro so everything is sealed up.

I bought the bag to hold mostly damp food like cut apples and oranges. This bag has not leaked (so far), sometimes zippers can allow for leakage. It is very easy to clean by hand or can handle the washing machine. No sign of wear and it has been put in the washing machine several times so far. The interior 'pocket' will pull out and allows for it to dry faster.

I first bought these Snack Happened bags after seeing how many Ziploc bags were were using and discarding. What a waste! When I first gave them to my girls, they absolutely LOVED the designs! Now that they're going to pre-school, we use them for sandwiches, snacks, crayons, boo-boo kits and anything else that needs to go somewhere with them. I've just recently ordered several more so that I can pack my husband's sandwiches in them for work and one for myself for my makeup. I'm thinking of getting another one for my glasses! They are super easy to clean and are pretty tough too - my dog got a hold of one of them with a snack in it and though he usually destroys even the toughest materials, he put only a small hole in it. I washed it and it's none the worse for wear. We love Itzy Ritzy and use their Wet Happened bags as well for swimsuits and "oopsie moments". By the way, don't try those other brands that claim to be the same - the quality of Itzy Ritzy is beyond compare.

i have used this to transport grapes, goldfish crackers and more. i have not yet tried to wash the whole thing, but after each use i turn it inside out and wash the lining with warm soapy water. good product.
