I absolutely love Ivory soap and for my daughter it is perfect being that it is free of dyes and perfumes however this arrived yesterday and when I unpacked it from the box every bar is damp and the paper wrapper is sticking to the soap. All 20 bars feel like mush its gross and I'm sad I wasted my money.

My choice for bath soap since the 1940's. Hard to find in local stores. Unscented, no sodium lauryl sulfate, good size in the hand, no chemical residue, useful for spot cleaning laundry (wet the fabric, rub the bar on it). This 20 pack is $0.80 a bar, now I have a supply. Fast shipping. Such a deal! Only con: if you leave it in a soap dish full of water it will dissolve.

Larger bars than found in stores around here

These bars are slightly bigger than what I can get around here in the stores. Fewer and fewer stores are carrying this stuff, substituting chain-store brands of unknown quality. Typical very-low scented bars, just the soap smell of Ivory. Each bar is individually wrapped, and its some very thin paper. Only have to take it off once per bar, so that's OK. Performs well. If you want a bar of bath soap that will leave you clean and no film or residue or who-knows-what chemicals in it, this is for you.

I have used ivory soap at least 50 year. The product I received was wrapped in appropriately the paper sticks to the soap and is impossible to remove. Soap does not feel similar to the product I have used for the past 50 years. It’s definitely inferior and I don’t recommend it. It is shipped in a plain envelope and should be boxed to avoid damage.

I like cheap. I like simple. This does the job. Ivory soap is made from tallow, which is animal fat. This is the way soap has been made for eons. Sodium palmate is also used, which comes from palm oil and sodium hydroxide (salt and hydrogen). The least part is Tetrasodium EDTA (Na₄EDTA4H₂O), which is a slightly acidic product of salt, which is safe and broadly used in skin care.

It is the exact same formula used since 1876. It works. It's safe.
