Great base for body butters and lotions

This made a great base for my homemade body butter. It came packaged in 2 bags and weighed just over 3 lbs. I bought this because it was the best value with overall good reviews. This will make a lot of body butters and lotions. It is a nice ivory color with the typical earthy shea butter smell. After I whipped my body butter it was a nice white color that looked similar to Nivea body cream. Mine was pure and it didn't have any dirt, shells or other bits in it like some other users experienced. I will use it to make my face moisturizer for acne prone skin as well. I definitely recommend this product and will purchase it again.Here is my body butter recipe if anyone is interested. I'm including links to the products I used.1/2 cup shea butter1/4 cup raw, unrefined coconut oil Carrington Farms Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, 54 Ounce1/4 cup sweet almond oil (or another oil of your choice) NOW solutions Sweet Almond Oil, Moisturizing Oil, 16 ounce10-15 drops essential oil of your choice if you want it scented (I used lemon) Now Foods Lemon Oil, 1 OunceMake sure all your utensils and containers are clean and sanitized. I wash mine in hot, soapy water, rinse and then spray with 91% rubbing alcohol and let them air dry or dry with a paper towel if you're in a hurry.Melt the shea, coconut and almond oil in a double boiler over low heat or in a glass bowl in the microwave on 50% power.Stir occasionally to combine.Set bowl in the fridge or freezer until the edges (at least 1 inch or so around) have solidified. If it is mostly solidified, that's ok as long as you can still easily stick your finger in it. Make sure it isn't too runny or it won't whip up.Add your essential oil if you're using any.Whip with a hand mixer or in a kitchen aid for 3-4 minutes until it is a whipped cream like consistency.Scrape into clean, sanitized jars and store at room temperature out of direct sunlight. Here is my body butter recipe if anyone is interested. I'm including links to the products I used.
1/2 cup shea butter
1/4 cup raw, unrefined coconut oil [[ASIN:B00CPZPYLS Carrington Farms Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, 54 Ounce]]
1/4 cup sweet almond oil (or another oil of your choice) [[ASIN:B0019LVFSU NOW solutions Sweet Almond Oil, Moisturizing Oil, 16 ounce]]
10-15 drops essential oil of your choice if you want it scented (I used lemon) [[ASIN:B00772AAMM Now Foods Lemon Oil, 1 Ounce]]
Make sure all your utensils and containers are clean and sanitized. I wash mine in hot, soapy water, rinse and then spray with 91% rubbing alcohol and let them air dry or dry with a paper towel if you're in a hurry.
Melt the shea, coconut and almond oil in a double boiler over low heat or in a glass bowl in the microwave on 50% power.
Stir occasionally to combine.
