Hi there! I’m Izuna! So you see, we were canned because "Ninjas are sooo yesterday," and now we're looking for a nice place to settle down... That stupid lord... Just wait'll I get my hands on that jerk! So anyways, we found this quaint little village, but... Everyone's actin' all weird. Grandboss's acting like a kid... Shino-Sis's all mean... What's going on!? I mean, what is up with this place!? Finally, a dungeon RPG strong enough for a man… but played as by a lovely lady! Izuna has the hardcore RPG gameplay with stunning artwork and charming humor to top it all off. The main character, Izuna, is an out of work Ninja with tough moves and an innocent face. While looking for work, her curiosity gets the best of her as she removes the sacred crystal from a peaceful village’s shrine. Now the furry of 6 different gods is unleashed and it is up to Izuna to bring harmony back to the town. See if you have what it takes to conquer the impossible levels and gruesome bosses. Pretty Good Dungeon Crawler

This game is one where dying matters because you can lose everything. While the game throws so many items at you that your 20 slots are filled within a floor or two of a dungeon, you have to work on adding SP with talismans and other features to your weapons that takes time so they can be more powerful. In other words, if you work hard on a weapon and die, your work is wasted. That's why you have to have an escape talisman on you at all times, but even then if you're not strategic about what you are doing you could lose it all.

I really think the characters are fun, and that the game has an addictive quality to it. If they let you keep more than 20 items or at least stack similar ones, it may be a better game. It's also very repetitive when it comes to the dungeons because they hardly change beyond the tilesets used to show you're in an ice or fire cave. While the dungeons are randomly generated, there's really not much of a difference between all of the rooms because they consist only of paths, rooms, and there are traps and items randomly scattered throughout.

I'm not sure why it's so expensive beyond that it's somewhat rare, but I've been able to get it from here on Amazon in 2016 for $15 shipped with cartridge only. It's not the best game like this, but if you already have Shiren The Wanderer for DS then this may be a good game to fill some time as well. It's not as good as that one, but it still has a place in my collection and I will for sure go back through it every few years at least!

This game is an entertaining little dungeon crawl with good graphics, fun characters, and lots of neat little Japanese references. Unfortunately it is also extremely frustrating and that tends to drag down the enjoyment quite a bit.

You cannot play this game without getting defeated--many, many times. Each time you are taken down by the baddies you find yourself outside the dungeon minus EVERYTHING you had when you went in or found while you were there. As if it wasn't bad enough that you are doomed to lose that great new sword or item because of the unavoidable traps and foibles of the game, weapons and armor also wear out, often very quickly, often leaving you equipped with whatever junk you manage to find laying around.

If you are patient and like a strong Japanese flavor to your RPG's, this game could be a good choice for you. Keep in mind, however, that you will want to smash your DS from time to time as you play, so you might want to keep a spare handy.
