If you don't know, now you know. J Roddy Walston and the Business rock. Pure rock. I challange anyone else to rock as hard. This album is great for someone who is just getting into them. Great as a first album, a must have for any fan. Great tracks and pure energy throughout make this album one that is not easily beat. Give it a try if you're curious. It will not disappoint. Really one of the must have albums of this band.

Incredible album all the way through, but Side A is my favorite side of any album I own. This may be an unpopular opinion among the rest of his fans, but this record tops Essential Tremors to me, no doubt about it. As good and as fun as Essential Tremors is, the songwriting on this album is second-to-none. The way Walston hollers and groans his simple yet heavy lyrics combined with thrashing riffs, loud drums, and the pounding on a piano's keys will have you smiling ear-to-ear as your face melts right off.

P.s. This band is a must see if you get the chance. My friend dragged me 150 miles to see them and I would've gone again the next day.

I started out listening to 'Heavy bells' cause they played it on the radio. After buying that album I wanted more, I saw this one on Amazon and after sampling it i knew i had to have it. I think this album is better than their latest. Thats just me though.

From the Baltimore City Paper: "J. Roddy Walston and the Business is what would happen if Queen and Black Oak Arkansas birthed four boys in the backwoods and let them listen to nothing but Cheap Trick and showtunes".
The only thing better than this record is seeing the band live!

Kings of Leon, The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, and Louis XIV have been my only hopes in the new millennium. This album is better than anything that I have heard in the past 3 years.

Here's a fresh sound that grabs your attention the first time you play it. PLENTY of energy in the songs with interesting content. I was fortunate to see the group live the initial time I heard their material. To say I was impressed is an understatement...to say their CD is always in my player is not. You gotta hear these guys!

Listening to this album is like playing a game of Name That Influence. From sock hop ditties to reggae grooves, this album is like a compednium of all that was right with rock from the 50s through the 70s. Track 6 reminds me of Dashboard Light!
