Say goodbye to wrist pain
The Scroll Endurance by J-Tech Digital is perfect for anyone who experiences wrist or hand fatigue when using a regular mouse. Its vertical design reduces the torsion of the forearm and wrist caused when using most other mice. The Scroll Endurance also includes a detachable palm rest to reduce drag on the desk surface.
Other cool features
In addition to its comfortable, ergonomic design, the Scroll Endurance also has adjustable sensitivity, which can be changed on-the-fly using the DPI button on the mouse. Another neat feature is the two thumb buttons, which perform back/forward browser navigation functions.
Sensitivity modes: 600/1000/1600DPI
Interface: USB 2.0/3.0
Dimensions: 136 x 100 x 87mm
Compatible with: Windows XP/Vista/7/8, Mac OSX
1x J-Tech Digital® Scroll Endurance Wired Ergonomic Vertical Mouse

Having said that, this mouse have weird problem of being *heavy*. They did this on purpose, I dont know why - probably to "feel" more expensive. Inside, they have two additional weights (see photo), which add noticeable strain on wrist. Also, sometimes you need to pull the mouse up, and it is very hard to do, so you accidentally press those additional buttons on the left side and your browser page disappears - all because they added these two bricks inside
Good news is this is fixable, just open up the mouse (two additional screws sit hidden under two "sliders"), there should be 4 screws total - remove bricks and enjoy
UPDATE 2, after 10 months.
Mouse wheel started to fail, I disassembled it again and checked it. It turns out it actually *DESIGNED TO FAIL* with the time: rubber "tire" will lose traction with the plastic wheel, supporting it. Good news is - this is fixable too, if you "loosen" stopper that holds the wheel. As the result, mouse wheel will start working again, but you wont hear the click anymore (I still dont understand why they needed it in the first place). So now mouse is working great now.
Overall it is crazy that customers have to remove stuff from products to make them work better ...
UPDATE: 6 months after purchase and I still love this mouse. No obvious flaws that I can complain about. I still enjoy the weight in my hands, I got a USB cord extender and now have no problems with the length of the cord. I no longer click the scroll wheel by accident. I also feel like my accuracy is getting better every day I use this mouse. I used to leave a regular mouse attached to my PC for fine motor movements, but I unplugged that about 2 months ago and haven't needed it since. My wrist pain is almost completely gone and only comes back when my hands get extremely cold.
UPDATED UPDATE: 1.5 years and running, this mouse is still awesome. Starting to feel the left click go. Its a little soft. But for the price of the mouse, it was well worth it and when the time comes, I will be buying another. No hand or wrist pain at all, compared to before I bought this mouse. So worth it.
But even J-Tech's has not reached perfection.
--excellent button placement! not as hard to click as Anker's
--excellent removable rest pad
--great verticalness--even MORE vertical than Anker. holding position feels like you are grabbing a glass of lemonade
--scroll wheel doesnt have a click.. it has an inconsistent texture when scrolling. slightly bothersome when scrolling a lot
--i'd like to be able to remap the dpi button... the past 3 mice ive bought have all had a remapping software with full-fledged macro. but they were not vertical of course.
--it feels a little uncomfortable but i do not feel ANY wrist strain. Despite the comfort, I KNOW that it is good in the long-term to get used to holding the mouse like this.
I can honestly tell you after Anker and cheap $10 vertical mice... this is the best mouse out there right now!
This J-Tech eliminates both of those concerns. The way my hand rests on it supports my little finger off the desk, and the buttons are "softer" touch, and click more easily. I do notice that the "forward" and "back" buttons on the thumb side can be accidentally clicked if you are not paying attention, but I think this will just require some getting used to the ergonomics of this particular design.
Lastly, and possibly really important; when I first started using it, I noticed that the motion on the desktop (both the screen desktop and the actual top of my desk) was a tiny bit "jerky" when performing small precision moves regardless of the DPI setting. I tried moving the receiver and tried different mouse control panel settings, but nothing helped. Then I realized that the mouse ships with a layer of that protective, almost invisible, peel-off plastic protective film on each of the mouse sliding pads on the bottom of the mouse. Once I peeled that off, the action become much smoother and now I love this mouse. Duh! Who's "jerky" now? Haha!
