About J.P. Osterman
"Everything we do ripples through time," J.P. believes. We leave ourselves and what we do behind as footsteps in life.
As a Science Fiction author and Researcher, J.P. focuses on space travel, the precarious laws that govern space-time, and issues relating to space travel, exploration, and colonization of Mars and exoplanets. You can check out her website at: www.jposterman.com. J.P. most recently was a top finalist for the Patrick D. Smith award through the Brevard Library Foundation.
In addition to the physics of long distance space travel, J.P. studied the necessary computational theories to control of the physics of space travel and extreme time/space compression: optical quantum computing, quantum communication, and AI Computer intelligence reaching well beyond the "Singularity," with organic, quantum-level processing and Neural Interface and Exchange (NIE).
J.P. Osterman was a reader and writer throughout her youth. She graduated from University of San Diego with a B.A. in English (Emphasis in Writing) and later a Master's degree from Azusa Pacific University. In the early 1990s, she met Ray Bradbury who inspired her to write science fiction. She has won several awards, including the prestigious Rupert Hughes' Award at the seminal Maui Writers Conference for her sci-fi novel, The Matter Stream, which she is transforming into her Nelta Series. She won First Place for her play, The Man Next to Me, subsequently published in the San Diego Writer's Monthly magazine. A Loving Fiercely Personal Book
From space, the carved-out volcanic city is a beacon of beehive lights welcoming people from Earth whom we Martians call Earthens. On the surface, The Mons is a mining metropolis, only made possible by our advanced Quantum and Holographic computing technology. Spacecraft launch-and-land at The Mons’ mega-port on routine scheduled missions throughout the solar system as winding surface tunnels transport people, goods and equipment with automated precision robotics.
By 2564, we Martians have maintained a friendly spirit of trade and an exchange of knowledge with the Earthens. Unfortunately, they have depleted many of Earth’s rare elements desperately needed to manufacture key military and consumer products. Our relationship with the Earthens is about to change.
Not everything our instruments read as real, is REAL. The forces in our universe can waiver and play tricks on our senses!
On a drifting rogue world, aliens are awakening to a festering cosmic disturbance. Can Lisa and Kent help them? Or will they end up as a casualty of The Rip?
Her collection twists and turns between the closely real and the refreshing worlds of her Sci-Fi stories, with a perfect balance of imagination and down to earth humanity. These stories grab you immediately and yank you in, coming to life from all directions. Whether it’s endurance, the obnoxious neighbors, life on a future planet, or the simple outstretched hand to someone in need, J.P.'s stories will capture your attention and hold you spellbound with her use of raw emotion and character conflict.
Her fictional worlds remain our world, in spite of betrayals, neglect, or watching true love develop. It’s the resilience and real human interaction of her characters and their enveloping stories that leave you wanting more.
Commuter Collection will make your commute short and the hours disappear.
After traveling for 100 years across the universe onboard the enormous Astrocity, Elisa Holton and 100,000 of Earth’s leading scientists, doctors, researchers, and artists are just six weeks away from arriving at the planet Nelta. The ancient Neltans have existed for millions of years longer than humanity and are thought to be at least a Kardashev level V civilization. Yet they need our help.
During the long journey, rumors and doubts about living among the Neltans abound. Thornton Manning, a Sagan leader, is fueling fear. He’s been experimenting with technology since day one of receiving it from the Neltans. Will the neural interface invention now backfire on him?
As they approach Nelta, many are experiencing weird and strange visions, scaring a large portion of the population half to death. But what really is causing these unusual attacks. If left unsolved, their long voyage could end in an eternal drift through space!
The ship’s ruling class, The Regents, could be to blame, or possibly the new Two-Seventy-Three protest group? Or maybe it’s an outside alien influence? Drawing on the multitude of her genetic gifts, Elisa launches a covert investigation to break barriers and discover the truth.
It’s 2376, and Steve and Elizabeth have been voyaging through space when their ship Amelia awakens them. “Where are we? The date and time has stopped tracking! Why?”
Their infallible space craft suddenly fails! The perfect team suddenly falters! Nothing—no amount of training or simulated instruction—could have prepared them for this breach in their mission, and their neural interface to the ships A.I. computer ceases. Can they trust their own senses at this critical time when they need them at their peak?
Vulnerable on an ancient planet and navigating blind at the far reaches of the known universe, Steve and Elizabeth encounter each other in a brand new light as their relationship speeds on a passionate trajectory. They must also race with a rapidly closing window of time to fix a dooms-day force that will destroy the entire universe, the Cosmic Rift!
