“Was he a monster? Nothing more than a well-behaved animal? Was his soul still in there behind the dark black orbs, or was he as damned and evil as the men who destroyed him?”
He had nothing to lose and didn’t let emotion rule the life which was now dedicated to revenge. Through luck or design, he had a second chance and, with his chosen family, he was going to take it!
Jack was always the quiet one and I couldn’t wait to read his story. He was a killing machine, a cleanup man who existed on little sleep and kept his body in elite shape to always be prepared for the unexpected. As their final plan moved into action Jack could not ignore a plea from his brother, save his sister, Pristine. He could do nothing less but what he didn’t expect was to fall in love.
“His mind went blank, leaving his body to be ruled by the drive of his desire.”
The mix of brutality and humour that these men face their challenges with is alternately funny and, well, just really uncomfortable. Blood and gore mix uneasily with scorching love scenes as Jack and Pristine break down each other’s defenses. A happy ending and many questions answered made for a satisfying conclusion to the series. Or is it? A few throwaway statements has me wondering if there may be more… I hope so!

The best of the Corporate Hitman Series. Jack, Jack, Jack so dark and delicious. I was in this story from being to end. Of the three I thought is back story was the most gruesome so to me he had a harder life altering crisis to overcome. He's not all the way back but I think he has found some peace with and in Pristine. Along with other members of his self made family he is on an even keel. Nice job ladies, just wondering if were are going to get a story for Duke.
