● These are fully bendable and are perfect for extending a run of the LED light strip across a gap, around an obstacle, or for making a bend.

Application:

For any 4 pins 10mm wide 5050 3528 RGB LED light strip. Suitable for both waterproof and non-waterproof light strips (Please peel off silicon on the surface around the soldering line area before installing waterproof strips ).

Installation Instructions:

● Make sure your section of the LED light strip has four contacts (+, B, R, and G) and the contacts are all clean and dry

● Open the white clasp of the connector

● Insert the LED light strip into the clasp, under the prongs - making sure to match the “+ “side of the strip to the “+” side of the clasp

● Close the clasp

● Gently pull on the LED light strip to confirm you've made a solid connection

● Your connection is made!

Okay, it was a little bit of operator error of sorts. For these to work they need to be slid in of course, but they need to be worked into all contacts touching at the right point and then lock them in (they have vampire like teeth to help lock in strip placement). It was a pain, but not that bad. I was really surprised it needed to be so exact in the placement of the strip, not sure if that's just the nature of all connectors or these specific.

That said, I'd order these again. They totally work once put in place & allow ideal flexibility in placing your strip(s). I'd recommend these, but please be aware how tricky they can be to line up. The 4 star is due to the need for exact placement, hardly a fast plug & play connector. Past that, get these if you need them.

Was pumped about these. Didn't want to break out my old soldering iron...wish I hadn't of been lazy. My LED strip is a 5050 waterproof, 10mm strip and of course I stripped the silicon/tpu over connections.

Although simple to connect I read through their instructions prior to cutting & connecting to eliminate any surprises. I never got past the first connector without issue.

If it lit up at all, it'd be 2-3 colors out of the R,W, G & B, flicker or the wrong colors would light up (when Red was on 1st set Green would be on for the second). Sometimes there'd be the same color on two different channels. Yes, I paid attention to all details while connecting.

I'll review if anything changes, but wouldn't expect it, I've tried connecting every which way possible. May add video to provide examples of the issues.

The LED's I bought had 4 contacts but the strip width was not correct for these to work.

Aside from that the only issue I saw was that plastic clips don't necessarily lock down the best to hit all 4 contacts.

Bought this to extend some LED light strings in a few rooms of the house. There really weren’t any instructions so it was a bit of trial and error to figure out exactly how to attach the strips. Once I figured it out, it was a bit of a pain because you’re basically inserting the strip (which is self adhesive) into the connector so it doesn’t want to seat properly which caused the lights to not work properly until corrected. It’s not really a flaw or shortcoming of this specific product but it was a source of frustration when using it.

I bought these to turn the corners with the LED light strip I purchased to go on the back of my flatscreen TV. They did the job and the connections were solid. No “finagling” was required and all the colors on my LED strip lit when selected. Be advised that while the process is simple, it is also tedious and requires attention to detail. How you cut your LED strip and clear from the contacts any waterproof covering and/or adhesive backing is paramount to achieving a solid connection. I did my “surgery” under a lighted 3X magnifying lens, using nothing more than sharp scissors to cut the LED strip, and my fingernail to peel back the waterproofing and adhesive backing where required. I cut both of those about 1/2” back from the contacts to ensure there would be no interference in fitting them into the connector. Now for the tricky part.... When you look at the connector, you can see that there is a small tab on each side. These serve as a guide when inserting the LED strip. The strip needs to go UNDER those guide tabs and then UNDER the four silver contacts on the connector. It should be a snug fit, requiring a steady, gentle push until the contacts on the LED strip are fully UNDER the silver contacts on the connector. Straight in and steady is the way to go. You will both feel and hear when the LED strip is correctly seated. Then just close the cover on the connector and you’re good to go (assuming you’ve aligned the positive lead on the LED strip with the positive lead on the connector, of course).

Good Connectors for LED 10mm Color lights

I had three segments of Goove LED lights that I wanted to operate off 1 controller. I used these connectors to hook them up and they worked, but to short. So I took some 10 mm 4 connector wire that I had bought and took these connectors and split the wire in half and used "Solder Seal Butt Connectors, Heat Shrink Solder Wire Connectors" connect them to each segment and used my heat gun. Very solid connections and no worry about shorts.
