I am a musician, audiophile, and amateur sound engineer/producer. These are great on-the-go earbuds at an affordable price. Very crisp sound, I think there's some treble shaping in the EQ, it gives the high-end crispness and air while maintaining attack on the low-end. I know some hip-hop-heads like extra bass, I actually listen to a fair amount of hip-hop (50-60% of my library) and have no complaints, but if you're used to Beats or some other high-bass brand, these will not be for you. At home/in studio I use ATH-M50 headphones and Yamaha HS5 Studio Monitors. I'd say both have better detail than these JAM buds, and the ATH's lean more towards bass in the EQ, but for commuting, exercising, etc I am more than satisfied with these JAM buds.
The earbuds are comfortable in-ear for 1-2 hours at a time, and stay in the ear pretty well, better than any other set of earbuds I've owned (though caveat, I've never paid more than $50 for earbuds, I save my big bucks for home/studio gear). Battery typically lasts me a couple days, and I would I guess I use for 3-5 hrs/day. I've owned for 4 months and no degradation to battery life, sound quality, build quality, etc.
This might be more of an issue with my iPhone, but for some reason voice commands do not seem to work through the earbuds. I will also note that the microphone is not positioned well for phone calls and I've heard from friends and family that my voice is distant/muffled when using these earbuds on the phone, so I often switch to my phone when I make calls. I don't make calls that often so this poor feature is low-priority for me, but if you're looking to switch between listening and phoning frequently, these may not be the buds for you.
