L-shaped plug (I've lost several earphones this year because the wire wore out while in my pocket).
Flat cable (Tangle proof)
Microphone sounds clear and is easy to use, you won't even notice that it's there while you're talking.
App is easy to find and use but has some problems(See Cons)
The flat cable does have slight microphonics as some others have pointed out but that's a small price to pay for tangle free earphones and it isn't really that noticeable.
The button on the earphone isn't as responsive as I had hoped. Whether it be a fault of the app or the device itself I'm not sure.
This review may be updated after I've had time to burn-in but I doubt these could get any better.
[UPDATE] The button works fine, all the functions work easily except when you "double press" to skip track you need to be more forceful when pressing or it will just pause the audio[/UPDATE]
The sound of the One+ is amazing. Loads better than my Skullcandy Ink'd earbuds or my Apple headphones, but I already knew that would be the case. Now, I personally prefer over ear headphones and I don't think these are anywhere near the quality of my ATH-M50s, but for a portable, in ear solution, these are great. These provide plenty of bass response and are extremely isolating. I don't even have to turn up the volume that much in order to tune out everything around me. The mix on these seem to be fairly well balanced, but they are a little on the bassier end in my opinion. Also, the separation when listening to stereo tracks is a little less pronounced than on my ATH-M50s, but that's a small complaint.
Now, occasionally the sound will go out if the cord is wiggled the wrong way, but I have always been able to fix this by wiggling the jack or rotating it to a different position so the l end of the cable isn't being pulled on. Not a huge deal, but it is a minor annoyance, and has done this since day one.
Initially the fit of these in my ears was a little large like most in ear headphones default buds, but it wasn't a problem as they come with a ton of different sized buds (5 pairs to be exact). So I just swapped them out which gave me a bit of a problem at first, but it wasn't too difficult.Read more ›
I use these mostly for conference calls. The problem is that every time you move slightly you get massive feedback through the headset, which makes it hard to hear. I also have to loop the side without the mike over my ear so that the mike is positioned right over my bottom lip. If I don't do that, the feedback I get from the cords banging around when I move my head ever so slightly drowns out my voice for whomever is on the other end of the call.
I also use these for watching movies on an iPad, on planes, or on a computer. In situations where I'm not moving, these are fine. On planes, they don't cancel out noise, so they're not ideal.
Finally, the main reason I shelled out the cash for these headphones is that I wanted something that wouldn't tangle in my pocket. While they don't tangle as often as other head sets, they still get tangled up, sometimes frustratingly so.
On the up side, I have been using them for two years now. At least they're durable.
The right bud started to deteriorate. I'm getting the a-Five to replace this headset! I put them through hell on the gym and on the road for 5 hour road bike sessions and performed amazing, drop them while on the move(my bad!) and after 2 yeras of heavy use they finally gave in.
Yes the cable is heavy, you get feedback from it...not a deal breaker for me!
Mic performed amazing while on the bike with headwind, L shape plug is incredible and the tangle free cable is just a must!
This is the best headset you can get if you are using an Andriod phone. I used it with the app and everything works flawlessly!
Even while doing your bike training...indoors or outdoors the air doesn't affect and you can maintain conversations that won't even notice you are on your bike. The headset has been put to the test on rain and hot rides(lots of sweat) and after 2 years works perfect.
