Packaging

When I received these I was astounded by the packaging. It is elegant, small and informative. The oval shaped matte black plastic with a cover wrapped around it houses the t-JAYS and it's fantastic set of accessories. The cover is a 4 inch or so high sticker that has a picture of the t-JAYS on the front as well as some product information and included accessories. The back has a picture of the contents, specifications, a picture indicating they can be worn over ear or down. The outside is sleek and entices the eye. On the back there's a sticker that the user must peel off to reach the toggle he/she must push down while pulling out to open the case up.

When the case slides up you're greeted to a sleek and detailed instruction manual that is matte black to fit the theme and it simply says "User Manual" in small white print. Very minimalistic, but inside there's a lot of good information in many languages that I highly advise those to read! The next thing you'll see is a black rubberized half circle that says JAYS, which turns out to be a nifty plastic case. The case is beautiful the bottom half is a black rubberized plastic the top half swings out from inside to close up and is a glossy black. It is hard plastic but it sadly isn't padded inside.

Taking out the user manual reveals the t-JAYS, 4 extra mushroom silicon tips, an airline adaptor, a stereo splitter and an extension cord. The provided silicon tips are nothing special, typical of what's expected, the airline adaptor and stereo splitter, while of no use to me, is a nice addition. The extension cord is necessary though. Without the cord the t-JAYS are roughly 1.5 feet from tips to end.

Sound isolation on these headphones are great. Im guessing it has something to do with the in ear design where the whole body of the earphone is in the ear instead of sticking out. I guess its able to block out more noise and sound production is closer to the ear as opposed to other in ear designs where the body is sticking out. it does a better job at sound isolation than my previous headphones of the same type.

I found them to be really comfortable contributing to the same aforementioned design. because the whole body of the earphone is in your ear, weight is distributed to more parts on your ear instead of just on the sleeve connection with your ear canal. If placed properly, you wouldnt even notice theyre there.

The biggest question though is sound. Some reviews say that theres too much bass response on these. In my opinion, these headphones provide just the right amount of oomph on bass to make it engaging and not flat. It has great clarity and detail on the mids and highs as well. Ive lowered my volume 40% from my previous setting for my boss oe and im still able to pick up the same amount of detail.

It comes with a ton of accessories. I really like the sleek case among all the add-ons. Build quality is second to none and i just love the way they look in my ear. Over all, i am very satisfied with these headphones and will highly recommend them to anyone looking for an upgrade to stock headphones.

these are the best in-ears i've heard for under $100. compared to the shure se215's, these have a wider frequency response and are more sensitive - i'm noticing new problems in my mixes and new sounds in my favorite tracks. the bass is obviously the highlight here, but the highs are really clear too. i'm pretty impressed... they're still breaking in and i'm still getting used to them, but these seem like exactly what i've been looking for: cheap enough to take on the morning commute, accurate enough to check mixes with. my only gripe is the packaging and the carrying case - too much plastic! half a star off for that.

First, I would like to say that I believe that Jays is one of the most underrated earphones in the crowded world of headphones, and earphones. I happened to own Jays T-2, Jays T-3, and Jays V-Jays ears headphones. I originally bought the Jays T-2's, and really loved the sound of them. The next set I bought was the T-3s, thinking they had to be a little better. What I found was that both of them had their own sound. They do not have the same sound signature. So, the T-3s are a very clear and concise earphone. Some have mentioned the bass, but, I found they were well balanced on every level. The T-2's do have a little less bass, but not in a negative way, if you like mids and highs, they accentuate this part of the music. They have enough bass to not sound weak in that department. The other Jays product that is very good are Jays headphone, the V-Jays. They are some of the best sounding cans that I own (and I have many of them). These also are very well balanced with excellent clarity. They are very light, and they seem to be constructed very well.

One of the things that has confused people has been the way Jays has named its products. Some are A - Jays, others are T-Jays. The numbering system is also the same. The T-Jays are considered the upper end of Jays hierarchy of earphones. So, make sure you are buying the one you want. A-Jays are a little more cheaper. However, price doesn't always mean a better headphone. Some reviewers have raved about the A series, feeling they are just as good as the T - series. Do your research.

While Jays is not mentioned in the same breath as Grato, Senns, Klipsch, V-Moda and other companies that get more publicity, they are an excellent sounding earphone in a mid price range that most people can afford. I promise you that you will not be disappointed, and it will be money well spent.
