Single Speakers

Here are just a few of the ways that you can enjoy Control Now’s high performance sound when using the speaker in a single array:

Single speakers can be mounted horizontally or vertically on walls. With the included floor stand adaptor, they can be configured for use with third-party stands. Use them as a home theater, speaker system for watching your favorite movie in surround sound or as a stereo pair of speakers for music.

Single speakers can be mounted in between walls, a ceiling and a wall or in corners. Use them for surround speakers or when a ceiling speaker is your best option.

Single speakers can even sit horizontally or vertically on a bookshelf. This is perfect for an office or a bedroom.

Multiple Speakers

Here are just a few of the ways that you can enjoy Control Now’s high-performance sound when using the speaker in a two, three or even four speaker array (extra Control Now speakers sold separately):

Two speakers can be mounted horizontally or vertically as an array on walls. Use them for a high-performance, home theater speaker system as a high-performance stereo pair of speakers for music.

Three speakers can be mounted in an array to span corners. This unique option is perfect for providing sound to an open floor plan and around corners.

Four speakers can be mounted in a vertical or horizontal array and using the optional pole mount adaptor you can hang the array from a standard ceiling fan pole. Now there’s a simple solution for providing sound to a large open area, like a game or family room. A four-speaker array can even be configured in a single point, stereo application.

Who could deny that the sound of bullets whizzing by your head or an explosion from your favorite action flick makes watching movies more exciting? And who could deny that when listening to a CD or your iPod, there’s no better experience than closing your eyes and imagining your favorite musical artist giving you your own private concert right in front you? We hear you.

JBL Control Now loudspeakers use ¾" titanium-laminate tweeters to re-create all of the high frequencies you hear in your favorite movie or song from your favorite artist. JBL uses titanium because titanium’s strength and lightweight make it perfect for being able to quickly and accurately reproduce sounds like bullets whizzing by and high notes from musical artists without strain or distortion. Add JBL’s patented Bi-Radial Horn and high frequencies have a wide and uniform dispersion resulting in smooth high frequency sound over a large listening area.

When it comes to low frequencies, JBL Control NOW uses dual 4", low frequency, PolyPlas drivers to reproduce the mid-bass in the movie explosions that make us jump. PolyPlas has the rigidity while staying lightweight to reproduce bass effortlessly and with impact. Add that JBL engineering optimizes the low frequency drivers so that they provide maximum output with minimal distortion and you have a speaker that will literally have you shaking.

JBL designed these speakers to work with a wide variety of configurations and placements. A promotional video shows them wall-mounted vertically and horizontally around a flat-panel display, set up on stands, pushed into corners, and even suspended from the ceiling in groups of three or four. A set of four would, of course, complete the wheel shape and would therefore be roughly omnidirectional.
