I have waited until using my new headphones for at least a month before writing this review. I did a lot of research on headphones before making this purchase and spoke with many sales people about the different levels of products vs. the price. After over a month of use, I can honestly say these JBL headphones are a great product. The sound quality for the cost is excellent. I am not a high-end user but for me, the sound is very good. I had always used ear buds in the past and there is no comparison between earbuds and headphones. I use these mainly at the gym and wondered if they would be comfortable and stay on. Unlike my earbuds which always had to be readjusted no matter what type of exercise these headphones are great. No matter if running on a treadmill or lifting free weights they stay on and are comfortable for a full workout. The great thing about the phones is the battery life. I have only charged them three times for the month with a good amount of use. I also like the fact that they can be wireless or connected to the treadmill, eliptical or other device to watch TV as I exercise and it prolongs battery life. I was going back and forth about spending extra bucks for Beats etc. but was told not to by many salespeople due to hype. Glad I listened.

I purchased this item for Work and to listen to some music. The music quality is pretty good. I needed to physically stretch out the plastic so it didn't press so harshly on my ear which started to hurt over 15 min of use. The little round buttons (with triangle) on the front of the headphones fell off. Turns out they are glued on and only for style vs function - They hide screw heads. When you plug this device into your computer it charges and also functions like headphones you get stereo. however (IF) you can get bluetooth to see the headphones, I have a HP laptop, then you will get 2 ways to use the headphones. one volume control will adjust both earphones in mono mode and the other volume control adjusts a good clean stereo sound. My issue: When in mono mode (which is the only mode that works with the microphone) guests on the other end of CC state that I sound muffled like there is a cloth over the microphone. People cant really understand me. I looked for plastic or some protective cover that I was supposed to remove.. Nothing. Its just a bad sounding microphone. As a result I am going to order some other brand and this simply isn't going to cut it.

I’m thoroughly disappointed in JBL customer service. I had originally called Amazon bc one side of the headphones stopped working. This was just beyond the return period but JBL warranty is good for a year. Amazon rep called them, connected me, and was super helpful.
I talk to the JBL customer service rep and they said they would send a box for me to ship the headphones and then they would replace. Few months, nothing.
I call back, at first they say I was supposed to take some action. I pull up the email and it didn’t ask for anything. They said not to worry, they will just ship me some new headphones. Few months later, nothing!
It’s a shame, because this has now turned into a wild goose chase and I trust them to do something but it seems they only want to appease you to then not do anything. I am left with non-working headphones and empty promises. Steer clear!

When I called customer service, I could barely understand them and they wanted proof of purchase and a photo of the damage, but told me they don’t replace for physical damage. I complained that it was poorly made. I will NEVER buy any Of JBL products made in China. And should not have to provide proof of purchase when Amazon called them for me.

I knew it was bad when I open the box and the smaller front headphones caps were not attached to the headphones and were just loose inside package. headphones were refurbished but the caps had not been put back properly, and I could not attach them either. sound quality was bad as well. I should have never ordered them refurbished but the price difference made me go that route. Never again.

After 9 months using these, I'm pretty happy with this pair of headphones.

SOUND--I'm not a music snob nor have the ear of what GOOD sound is supposed be, like a DJ or music producer. But I do think this pair is a great value for what it sounds vs what it costs. I mean, the $200+ headphones sound terrific. But these at this price is pretty good.

CONNECTIVITY--connecting via Bluetooth is usually pretty easy. There are times that it cuts out or the controls don't work, but I think it's mostly my iPhone screwing up (don't ask me how I guess this, I just think it's the device more than the headphones). If it does glitch a bit, I "forget" the headphones on my iPhone and then "pair" it again and it's all fixed. So, not bad!

COMFORT--it's relatively comfortable. I usually wear them for long stretches, but if after 2 or 3 hours they can begin to squeeze on the ears. But again, that's 2 or 3 hours! A hidden bonus is the over-the-ears style makes them GREAT ear muffs during the winter and keep you warm. On the other end, they can be a little hot in the summer.

DURABILITY--the headphones seem a little rickety(??) but honestly it's been pretty durable. I've dropped them and shoved them into bags. If you do wear them, they do expand (as in the arch becomes wider) and you would think they would stay stretched out and :( But after a good while, they do go back to their original snugness. It's reassuring for sure.
