I got this case, partly because of the low price and partly because I've got several of those clear lucite-style cases you self assemble. Though they look cool, those clear cases always seem to break on me when putting them together.

This case, I can happily say is a quality piece. The RasPi 2 fits perfectly, and it went together with a minimum of fuss. Gives a nice, finished look to the RasPi 2. Makes it look like a fabulous.

The only thing it's lacking is a way to better see the status lights. You can see them through the holes in the grill on the one side (opposite the NIC and USB ports), but not very well and not in any way that explains what they are/mean.

This is an OK Raspberry Pi case, but it has one significant design flaw. Worse, the Amazon listing lies about the case in a way that makes the one flaw worse.

On the bright side, this is a stylish and elegant Raspberry Pi case. The Pi easily slides into it and fits perfectly. The rounded edges, the recessed port area, and the way the SD card sits flush with the surface when inserted mean that it is a good case for people that need to throw their Pi into a bag or other place where it might snag on things in a case with more edges and protrusions. This is a very simple case, one that gets the job done.

Unfortunately, the listing for it is misleading. It says the case is a "two-piece injection-moulded ABS enclosure that snaps together." However, the case I received is a three-piece plastic enclosure that has to be screwed together with four screws. The extra piece is not a deal-breaker (though mine was installed upside-down when I received it) but the screws may be for some people. They require you to have a tiny Size 1 screwdriver on hand to assemble the case, which is mentioned nowhere in the listing. And because you are screwing tiny screws directly into plastic, the screws and plastic are going to strip if you have to disassemble and reassemble this case more than a few times.

And that would not be as big of a problem if not for this case's major design flaw: It leaves a large enough gap below the microSD card slot to slide the microSD card into. The microSD card must be COMPLETELY flush with the top of the slot in the case. If you incorrectly slot the SD card even a millimeter further down, it will fall into the bowels of the case, and the only way to get it out is to disassemble it. Which would be an annoyance but not a significant one except that this case can only withstand being disassembled and reassembled a few times due to the screws.

Very nice fitting case. Perfect for OEM applications. Plastics are smooth and well fitted. The only problem is that the screws strip easily and should be a slightly larger diameter. But this case is far better than most alternatives.

The SD is accessible from outside the case.

Case fit the Raspberry Pi 2 B perfectly.

Update: I've found a tiny con. There has been a couple times where I carelessly try to shove an SD card in and it slides in the tiny space between the case and outside the slot requiring I open the case to retrieve the card. Not worth a star, but it would be nice to see a future version tighten up that space so the SD card can only fit into the slot. Pictures added.

As with some others, I did have a bit of issue with the screw holes themselves stripping a bit (not the screws.) The plastic is a bit too soft I would guess. Still, it does hold very well between all four of them. Somehow I had only three screws (but I'm assuming I dropped one while unpacking.) I keep quite a selection of screws around in metal "Spam" tins and found one that fit quite well, so they're a standard enough size I'd say. I do also wish that the backplate where the memory card is inserted wasn't completely loose. It should probably be either glued in or even a solid piece as I just don't see any reason for it to not be. You have to kind of hold in in place while shutting the case to ensure it lines up correctly.

All that aside though, it fits my RPi2 absolutely perfectly. I love how small and slim it is. I wouldn't recommend it to overclockers as there is almost no airflow beyond those tiny holes on that backplate over the memory card slot, but with heatsinks I think it should be fine at stock speeds hopefully. (Trying to make my RPi2 last.) I felt like the RPi2 fit in there absolutely beautifully with almost no wasted space. The rounded curves are unnecessary technically I guess, but it makes it easier to carry it around if moving it, looks a bit nicer, and generally doesn't take up much extra room anyway.

Note that if you need to connect anything to the RPi/RPi2, there are no openings for this and you will have to cut holes or leave the top off entirely. This isn't necessarily the case's fault as it wasn't intended for that. I'm using mine like a computer more than a project device like Arduino/etc, so for me and others like myself this is a non-issue, but it's something to remember when looking at this option.

Great case, looks sleek, allows access to all ports and shows lights. The only minor complaint is that the molding around the sd card slot could be more form fitted. If you aren't careful you can miss the card slot, and get the sd card stuck inside the case, requiring a screw driver to remove it. This is easily avoidable if you are careful about lining up the sd card, but I think this could be avoided.
