In switching to amber-colored bulbs, the theory is that it lets you see further in fog because the yellow light doesn't get reflected back as much as the white.
These bulbs are a much brighter H11 and I was worried that they would be too bright to leave on for oncoming traffic. And they may be, but I'v only been flashed once in the past month or so.
But, driving in heavy fog, I think these are too light of a yellow to be as effective as other "fog" lights. I'm sure I can be seen further away by oncoming drivers, but comparing visibility with these to just my low beams, I can barely see any difference. But they do seem to be of decent quality and they look cool, so there's that...
I'll update later as to the longevity of them.
UPDATE: So after some use I've noticed that these appear very dim during the day and from straight on almost look white but from the side look amber like they are supposed to. With that, I dont know if it's the turn signal diffuser that is playing a role in everything but I have had brighter LED turn signal bulbs in the past. All in all, I will probably seek other options when these do die but for now they will stay
Super White Fog Lights make it worse when driving in very dense fog, like putting your brights on. Amber color does not blind you and is the best color for dense fog.
Note: These are 1200 lumens per bulb, not 2400 lumens. For comparison, a 75 watt household bulb puts out about 1100-1200 lumens of light. That's 4x more light than the stock 19W H16 Halogen Bulb and well upgrading.

UPDATE: SO after a few weeks of use I noticed one of them were flickering and eventually it stopped working. I contacted the seller and man I am impressed and happy, they responded very fast and gave me the replacement I needed free of charge. Would definitely recommend this as a fog light replacement.
about 4 months ago and so far I love it.
Bright amber colour light, significantly better than factory led fogs.
