The flashlight itself is very nicely constructed. Fit and finish is outstanding and the light feels great in the hand. Two AA's and this will outlight anyhting I have other than my TK45. It was a massive improvement over the now 5 year old fenix AA light.
I will be using mine mostly for distances under 100 feet and usually under 25 feet. The large amount of bright flood is excellent for those rnages, it easily lights up most of a room that is in your line of vision or a complete backyard or garage. As I mentioned above, I also have a TK45 which has a max rating of 760 lumens and although noticebaly brighter, for in home use in that under 100 foot range, the Jetbeam actually gives me everything I need and I don't really notice a benefit from the TK45's turbo mode. Add i nthe fact the PA20 is 1/5th the size and it is the light I would grab first around the house for day to dad stuff. For general purpose up close use (1-5 feet) use the turbo on the PA20 itself is actually probably to bright and the setting just below it is perfect.
Overall a great light and I would recommend.
