This is the definative account ofJFK's murder and why.
Not only was JFK robbed of his life but the world was robbed of a genuine peacemaker. His due recognition as a humankind benefactor was also stolen in the process. He could talk amicably about peace with the world's unfriendly leaders, but sadly not with his own government's warmongers, almighty dollar collectors, and power mad maniacs.
It is all captured here, including his striking speeches which deserve to be documented for history.

Ever since researchers and commentators began questioning the conclusions of the Warren Report on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, the response has been: Why would the U.S. national-security establishment — that is, the military and the CIA — kill Kennedy?
As Douglas P. Horne details in this ebook, JFK’s War with the National Security Establishment: Why Kennedy Was Assassinated, the answer is because Kennedy’s ideas about foreign-policy collided with those of the U.S. national-security establishment during the height of the Cold War. In the eyes of the military and the CIA, Kennedy’s policies posed a grave threat to national security.
Horne served as Chief Analyst for Military Records for the Assassination Records Review Board (ARRB). This was the federal agency that Congress established to secure the disclosure and release of JFK-related records and documents after the public outcry generated by Oliver Stone’s movie JFK. Horne is the author of Inside the Assassination Records Review Board: The U.S. Government’s Final Attempt to Reconcile the Conflicting Medical Evidence in the Assassination of JFK, a five-volume work that focuses primarily on the autopsy of Kennedy’s body that was conducted by the U.S. military.

This document is all the evidence any reasonable Grand Jury would need to reopen the JFK murder investigation. No statute of limitations on murder. We should demand a new OPEN to PUBLIC...investigation. Declassify ALL the records. This Doc is a half measure but it's more than enough. I hope this becomes the most read book in America.

This book is a very good read and loaded with technical jargon and lingo of the military. The reason I gave the book four stars instead of five is for that very reason: over complicated. Had the book been simplistic in its phrasing and characterization, it would’ve easily been a five star book. Of course, anyone who has studied this topic knows that JFK was assassinated for many reasons but a big reason was his stubbornness in not rushing to war with Russia as the military industrial complex wanted. And because he refused to get further involved in Vietnam with his plan to pull all US troops & personnel out by 1965. Many attribute the “Bay Of Pigs” failed invasion as another likely reason the national security establishment wanted Kennedy dead. In this respect, the book delivers big time and lays everything out in vivid detail. I’d recommend this book to those who want to know precise details of why the security forces of the US killed JFK. For those who want guesses at who or their motives or backstory, this may not be for you. Still, it’s very good at painting the picture of a US President who was very much isolated from the security structure who was supposed to work for him.

Douglas Horne's analysis as always is extremely persuasive in creating a motive within the military and the CIA for the assassination of JFK. "Kennedy's policies posed a grave threat to national security..." Shortly after the Cuban Missile Crisis, Kennedy called in the boys from the National Security Council to compliment them on the successful conclusion of the crisis. General LeMay, in no uncertain terms said, "We Lost." It was clear that the whole NSC thought Kennedy sold out. By then they had concluded JFK represented a clear and present danger to the survival of the United States. There could be no more pressing motive for the assassination. So we have all three of the elements for murder, Means, Motive and Opportunity. The cover up of the assassination was yet to come. But with the Warren Report, the conspirators bought time, lots of time. Decades of obfuscation. surely the conspirators knew eventually the truth would out. Horne as the Chief Analyst for Military Records for the Assassination Records Review Board (ARRB) has pulled away the veil of obfuscation and revealed the truth. His five volume treatise "Inside the Assassination Records Review Board" exposes the Military-Security cabal's fingerprints all over the JFK autopsy cover up. The ARRB reconstruction of the autopsy, the Best Evidence, reveals not just the accessory after the fact but the forensic autopsy now supplies the means and opportunity needed to prove the real perpetrators of the JFK murder: The assassins now have a name. But the scary truth is not that the Military-Security cabal have been exposed, but rather by now, no one cares!

Concise, informative, well researched, Interesting. An excellent political history of events between 1960 to 1963 relating to Berlin, Laos, Vietnam, Cuban Missile Crisis and the heated difference in opinion between Jack Kennedy and the key CIA and military leaders. It is frightening to learn that a majority of our key leaders supported a full nuclear response to Berlin and Laos and "FRYING Cuba in response to the Cuban Missile Crisis. JFK was the only person stopping these actions. It is unlikely we will ever know for sure if Kennedy's assassination was either a single shooter or one of the many conspiracy theories. But, this book offers a believable, well researched, alter-hypothesis for who orchestrated the death of JFK and why.
I don't often think of conspiracy theories because it is impossible to know what the truth is. But when I do think of JFK's assassination, I remember reading a few paragraphs in the introduction of Robert McNamara's book, "In Retrospect" that he had been with Kennedy when he learned of Diems death (November 1, 1963). Kennedy went into a rage. 21 days later Kennedy was himself dead. Seems like an odd coincidence. This book sets the backdrop for that rage. This book is very pro-Kennedy, but it also attempts to explains why many Cold War Hawks would consider it their patriotic duty to rid our country of a president that, in their opinion, was weak and placing the security of our country at risk.

When Dwight Eisenhower left office he gave a speech to the nation in which he warned us to be aware of and prevent the growth of the" military/ industrial complex" because of the threat it posed to our system of checks and balances which our national founders put in place to guard against the emergence of tyrannical threats to our liberties . Most academic researchers of the Assassination of President Kennedy have concluded that the president was murdered by a cabal of rogue
agents within the Central Intelligence Agency. Mr. Horne's book reinforces and expands this theory in an extensively researched and footnoted narrative that manages to read like a thrilling murder story. It is easy to believe that there are many, possibly hundreds, of people still alive who aided and abetted the murder of President John F. Kennedy. This book should be required reading in advance placement high school civics courses, and university level political science courses, and perhaps a renewed hunt for those still alive who were active participants in JFK'S murder.

This was an excellent piece of work, presented in a number of essays. The author is very articulate, and the work is easy reading; I never wanted to put it down. I have read numerous works regarding JFKs tenure and his assassination; this book is up there with the best.

Well written, but very academic in his writing, Horne offers a useful insight into the Cuban missile crisis and JFK's war with his own military.

An excellent read from start to finish. Quite scary to see how close we came to WWIII. Pretty much confirms everyone's suspicions about jfk' s murder, but the depths that the US military top brass went to to try and instigate a nuclear war is pretty disturbing!!
