This is a very well made product. I have a heavy long lens, and this plate was the ticket to get the proper balance on my Gimbal arm. I can also use it with other lenses by placing the plate as shown in the product pic. I have a Dracast A/B 160 video light, and can attach it to the top of the grip. So, I will get a lot of usage out of it. If there is a glitch, I would have to say it was their choice of using the camera attach bolt with a hex nut instead of a grip carbuncle. If you are out in the field and you lose the supplied hex driver, you are out of luck. A small glitch, but to me a mistake foreseeable to avoid by the manufacturer, hence the 4 stars. Otherwise a great product.

I wanted something minimal looking, without all of the extra cold shoe mounts. I also wanted something that wasn't thin looking for its price. This was a nice surprise. It's very minimal, quality build and i can add cold shoe mounts to the base as needed as well as a mount for my tripod. I bought Smallrig's cold shoe adapter - 1241 for my monitor.

I wanted something for more stability on handheld shots 1-2 miles (Nikon P900). Works great, and lots of holes for more adaptability. Plus snaps onto my tripod quickly. Super-happy. I also added a smaller handgrip, when traveling and want to use a smaller camera case.

This is my second one of these i've bought, they get used for dslr's, action cams, lighting, spotting scopes, the plate is machined not diecast like some others, and in my opinion worth it for this alone, it has a strap slot machined into one end, I dont like the allen bolt supplied to mount camera with, an allen wrench can do up a bolt very tight so be careful, they fit both my arca swiss tripod ball heads,
well worth the money paid in my opinion.

After seeing the 'proper people' using this in their videos. I thought id take a look at one myself. Its a solid piece of kit and my canon 6D fits on the base plate with no problems. The metal design means the camera remains solid and there is no fear of it becoming loose at any point. Its especially useful for having the extra bit of stabilisation without having to buy a gimbal.

Supporto carino.. fornisce una presa migliore durante i video e permette l’aggancio di un accessorio (nel mio caso la luce avendo ul microfono attaccato all’hotshoe)!
Inoltre è comodo il fatto di poter montare la maniglia al contrario e attaccare la piastra ad un cavalletto da foto facendolo diventare simile ad un cavalletto con la testina da video!

Este kit destaca por ser muy robusto, muy buenos materiales. Personalmente, eché en falta algún tornillo más como los que vienen (sólo dos, uno para la cámara y otro para el mango). Para la finalidad que se creó es perfecto, aunque con algún retoque hubiera sido un kit mucho más versátil.
