Bottom line: If you will use the camera on something that does not produce crazy vibrations like a road bike you should be OK with the Adixxion 2. The video quality is good, just not as good as the Gopro. And for $100 less it definetly is a good alternative. If you want the steadiest and highest quality video than you spend the extra $$$ on the Gopro.
I take it everywhere I go because it fits in my pocket.............
I was a bit hesitant to purchase this camera for one reason,.......Sound Quality
All the YouTube video reviews I saw made this cameras audio sound horrible
But I took a chance and purchased it anyway.............
As soon as I got it I updated the "Firm Ware" from the manufacture (Step by step instructions)
It's easy to do but Im sure the new cameras have the newest Firmware on them
the Newest Firmware update addressed the Sound issue and added some nifty features to the menu
sdo the sound quality is not an issue at all
If anything its awesome be cause you can adjust the loudness in the menu
As I stated above:
I take this camera everywhere I go
Battery last almost 2 hours and best of all
this camera can be plugged into power while recording
for those 8 hour drive "Dash Cam" filming experiences.....
I recommend this camera over the HERO 3 for its ease of use and price
The camera has two tripod mounts (one on the bottom and one on the left side) which makes it very flexible for mounting. It is also waterproof out of the box so it doesn't need a separate housing for taking underwater shots. It also has a viewfinder monitor on the right side of the unit.
The image quality isn't great. It can shoot at 1080 60p at its highest resolution and can also record 120 FPS video at 720p. But the low light quality isn't good, the digital zoom is poor quality, and the overall clarity and sharpness of images is a bit lacking.
I did like the WiFi capability on the camera, with an iPhone or Android app that actually functions and performs well. In addition to controlling the camera's functions remotely it can also configure each setting without having to dig through the camera's menu system.
The bottom line? It's nice hardware with great mounting options but the image quality doesn't match its thoughtful design.
My only gripes so far are: Camera has to be in upright (or upside down) position to have the video correct. If the camera is laid on its side, the video will not correct itself. Also, when the unit is powered off, it does not save your settings you had (wifi on, video mode, etc)
