I bought this yesterday from a local store for my kids. None of us could figure out how it worked. Basically, you have a foam rocket that sits on a big, long plastic stick. And that's it folks, there's your toy! It seems like you'd pump it to make it launch but there's nothing to pump. You can't twist it, whack it, bang it or anything else. So I thought mine was defective and took it back to the store for another one, except the next one was the same, a solid lump of plastic with a foam rocket at the end. We googled the toy to find online directions, but there were none. Anywhere! Every website says the same thing, no instructions. I had three different people in the store try to figure out how to get this toy to work and none of them could do it! I did, however, find lots of reviews saying how much this toy truly sucked. Needless to say I was given a full refund and the store was going to take the toy off the shelves.

If anyone has figured out how to get the rocket to fly 50ft in the air, please post it here! Otherwise, buyer beware! This toy is the epitome of cheap construction, poor design and a complete waste of money! Amazon shouldn't even be selling it. It's that bad!

OK, finally found out how it works, simply turn the canister at the bottom clockwise until it releases itself from the sleeve. Please note it will feel like you will break the toy, but you do need to do this to release the pump action of the toy.

It would be "EXTREMELY" helpful to buyers if the manufacturer included an instruction note or diagram with this product.

For anyone thinking this might be like the stomp rocket, save your money. It is a small pump that you pull out and push in. It says it goes up to 50 ft, but in reality a good launch will get 10ft and usually is more around 5 ft. I guess they made a typo with the zero. We used it 3 times before the top came loose from the pump and you can see where the glue didn't hold. Another few launches and the fins are coming off the rocket.
This is really a dollar store toy that they are trying to steal $5-$15 for. I'd say maybe I got a defective one, but since most reviews about this product are negative, in the garbage it will go.
By the way, it does not come with instructions, so take your best shot. It works a lot like the $1 water shooters you find in the dollar store.
