Update : After a few months of use, the left earbud has stopped working. For the past weeks, the sound quality would diminish gradually and eventually it stopped. For 159$, it seems very expensive for only a few months of proper usage. When they work, they are good quality but in comparison to the Bose SoundSport, which never broken or decayed, I'd go back to Bose...

I have now experienced FOUR pairs of Jabra Elite Sports personally, with my partner experiencing this with one of them. All FOUR pairs have encountered issues over time. To preface the negatives of this product, I will say that the warranty process is quite pain-free, albeit slow, and Jabra has been great about sending replacement pairs. With that aside, time to get into some of the issues:
Pair 1:
- right headphone started randomly dropping to half the volume of the left with nearly zero bass. I thought it was a Bluetooth connectivity issue so I went through firmware updates, repairing, etc etc and nothing fixed the issue. It got worse and worse to the point where regardless of the connected device it'd be at nearly 10% of the volume of the left. Amazon refunded me. This pair lasted me less than 6 months.
Pair 2:
- With the refund, I got a pair from BestBuy since they had a sale going on. I got two pairs, one for me and one for my partner. Now, fast forward 6 months and the same issue is happening but to the left headphone. Again, I repeat the troubleshooting and nothing works. This time I go through Jabra and get a replacement pair under warranty. Great, at least my partner's pair is still working without issue, I must just have bad luck...
Pairs 3 and 4:
- Okay, so I received a replacement from Jabra, immediately I notice some quality issues with the provided ear-molds. Oh well, I have spares from my previous sets... Fast forward ~4.5 months and oh god not again. The left headphone dips in volume. Oh, but I'm on a plane. maybe it's Bluetooth interference from nearby devices... repeats on 4 other flights and nothing I do will fix it for more than 10 minutes. Great, I can't even block out the noise of the plane with these things. Oh well, as long as it just happens while flying not such a big deal. And my partner noticed similar behavior, so it much just be interference since theirs hasn't shown any issue besides this. Now, I start noticing dips in volume when commuting. Oh, now my left earbud's buttons don't work sometimes. And again, the dip in volume is happening with the left. Repeat all troubleshooting, nothing fixes it. At the same time, my partner's earbuds start to show the same issue with the left headphone, no troubleshooting fixes it. Also, the adhesive of my left headphone starts to fail where the exterior shell with the buttons meets the edge with the adjustable molds. I assume this would cause it to no longer be water-resistant.
Now, again Jabra's warranty even covered my replacement pair, and my partner also submitted a request. Even though their warranty is good it is SLOW. Don't expect a replacement for 3+ weeks from time on inquiry.
Ultimately, for the price point, I think it's insane that this product is riddled with so many re-occurring issues. Others seem to have luck with recharging/restarts to get the sound to get back to normal. Sure, it might work for an hour or so then it again dips. Or maybe immediately it dips back out. If this was a sub $100 product I might be okay with it.
Here's to hoping pairs 5 and 6 last longer? It should be noted, these dips in volume have not been present from the get-go with new products. It's something that develops over time.

Update: After getting a hold of Jabra customer support over phone they were very helpful. Hopefully replacement ear bud has no issues.

After i purchase in three months, Jabra give me trouble. My Jabra right earbud's sound level drop significantly after wear about 5 mins. Left ear buds can keep right volume level as it suppose to be. Test another two earphone speakers, both sides works very good, it is not my ear issue. Right now in order to use my Jabra, I have to always keep both in ear at same time. After contact with Jabara warranty department, Jabra ask me ship my Jabra first, then release new one by sending me a pre-pay mail label. I am still waiting for the mail, take too long to process warranty. I will update the final result and time use to get my replacement here. Return Jabra back on Jan 15th, note Jabra. No update until today Feb 4th, on the Feb 8th i got my replacement. Left and right sound is not balanced well. Left's volume is lower than left's a lot, upgrade firmware. To avoid running into same delay, i decide use replace.
