MUSIC & TALK MEETS THE STREETS! Bluetooth just got cool thanks to the BT3030. Not only does it look good, it sounds great. Finally a product that lets you listen to music from your mobile - without damaging your style! BT3030 plays music from any enabled device such as mobile phone and Mp3 player. Play, pause, skip - remote control your music without touching your mobile.* Yep, that’s right - no wires! No need for phone envy - keep it in your pocket! When a call comes in, your tune pauses and the call connects. A microphone in the dog tag picks your voice up, loud and clear. No hands, no missed calls. The dog tag design keeps the wearing style simple. But if it doesn’t fit your wardrobe, use the optional clip. Your belt, your bag, your pants - you choose the look, you choose the style.

Now that I've had the Jabra awhile, I wanted to update my review. I use it primarily with a Music-Link Stereo Hearing Aid Compatible Headset (http://www.amazon.com/Music-Link-Stereo-Hearing-Compatible-Headset/dp/B0030C3IFY/ref=sr_1_109?ie=UTF8&qid=1394029299&sr=8-109&keywords=t-coil+loop). Since I already have a T-Coil bluetooth loop that works for handsfree driving and the like, I wanted something that would allow my use in the gym. The ComPilot is awesome, except that increasing the sound does so by increasing the hearing aid volume. The Jabra (on the other hand) does exactly what I wanted. So, it increases the sound of the music and leave the overall hearing aid volume in place. It's a perfect combination for my needs.
I purchased a Blackberry Storm, and this was the unit I was connecting to. I finally figured out that I needed to turn the volume down on my Storm to get the volume in a "range" that I was happy with. I am now satisfied that I can turn the volume down really low, and can turn the volume up high enough for me to be satisfied. If I really wanted to crank the volume, I would simply turn the volume up on my phone, and then turn the volume up on my dogtag as well. I had to dock one star for this because a person should be able to adjust the volume from the dogtag completely. But the range is wide enough for me to be satisfied with how it works. I can get the volume up so high it hurts my ears, if I wanted to. I have not attempted to go any higher, for obvious reasons. But there does not seem to be any limitations on how loud the headset can go.
I agree with the other reviewers. The sound quality is excellent. I notice very little difference between the headphones that came with the unit and the Sennheisers that I purchased. The bass that comes from the headset is excellent for those of us who are not used to getting good bass from our ear buds. Even though the equipment looks to be well made, the small screen that protects the internal components of one of my ear buds fell out. I will probably wind up keeping the earbuds anyway, they will probably be ok. But that was another reason for the docked score.
The wires on the headset are shorter than standard earbuds would have. I like them that way since they need to plug into something around your neck. The wire on one side is longer than the other (typical for earbuds since they assume you will share your music with others), and this is my constant gripe. Who on earth puts in someone elses earbud in their own ear? Isn't that a bit disgusting? I don't want someone's ear wax in my ear. These are no different.
Personally, I think the dog tag part of it looks really cool. The colors can be a little confusing at first. The logo will blink purple if you are linking to a source of music. I assumed that the purple was actually the red that indicated a low battery level, but this is not the case. I usually listen to music for 4 hours, then charge the dog tag for my 30 min lunch and then listen to music for the remaining 4 hours. When I charge it at lunch, the unit still shows a green light for a mostly charged unit. I have never had a problem with the amount of charge, but I also have not tried to use it all day without a midday charge either.
I think the specs said you could walk 20 feet away from the unit, and this does seem to be the case. I have my blackberry hooked up to a charger at my desk at work so that I can listen to internet radio while I am working and not lose battery level on my phone. Sometimes I wander from my desk, and it does seem to start crackling and losing connection at around 20 feet away from my blackberry.
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this purchase. The sound quality is excellent, the dog tag is sturdy and cool looking with the blue light that comes from it, and I get decent bass finally. A couple issues docked a star, but I would highly recommend this product.
If I had to offer a complaint, it would be that the buttons are rather hard to manipulate and the "clip" is rather flimsy. The buttons are of the "membrane" type and rather hard to press, but they do work very well. Similarly, the clip designed to hold the device to your body (if you decide not to use the supplied chain) itself clips to the device and is therefore, flimsy. Hasn't been an issue for me yet, but I can see the possibility of it becoming so.
Overall, I'm completely satisfied with this product.
UPDATE - Aug 2012: Just noticed that this product is listed as "unavailable" and I find that unfortunate. If I ever lost this product, I'd be sad...it's the best Bluetooth device I've ever had! The sound quality is great, it's no hassle to connect to my Samsung device, and it's stood-up quite nicely to the abuse I've put it through. I use this in the car, to exercise, and even when I ride my motorcycle and it's simply terrific! I couldn't be more pleased!!!
