This product was purchased through the Amazon.com web site.
This product had to have been a discontinued item. This is another item which is best purchased in your local area. I purchased this product on Amazon.com and it arrived in good time. There was a CD that came with the product, but only the driver would install. There is more software supposedly on the CD but it would not install to my PC which has Windows Vista 64 bit on it. I got the suggested Bluetooth software from the manufactures website "Widcom". The software does not install due to digital signature issues with this manufacturer. I have the driver installed, but the Bluetooth device does not work as it should. All this hardware can do is search for Bluetooth devices, find them, then it cant do anything else, because it has no software to operate with. I will have to try other Bluetooth software to see if it will work with this device. This device is not something that I would reccommend. I would not purchase this product again. Money wasted.

No go for windows 7

Just felt that I should let everyone know that this item is not compatible with Windows 7. I found this out after I had problems during the install. I called Jabra to get assistance when the tech informed me of the incompatibility. The seller was very prompt in responding to my email and said they might have a problem trying to fix the ad. They were very kind in giving a refund and so I decided to write this comment to hopefully help someone avoid the inconvenience of all this. Good luck folks!

Received with expired sofrware

The Jabra A320s "Dongle" received such good reviews that I bought one from an Amazon Vendor. The price was definitely right but the unit arrived (new) with outdated software. On the box it said go to jabra.com for updated software.Forget about it - it's about the worst site I've been to, plus they can't supply you with updates because it says that the A320s is no longer for sale. All is not lost- just for everyone's information if you install the old software and then go to Broadcom dot com and download their up to date stuff you will be in business. Once you are done with that problem it is an excellent bluetooth usb. It will work flawlessly, connecting with your bluetooth device ( I used a logitech v470 blutooth mouse and keyboard)instantly and maintaining a connection. I love it and recommend it to all. Just remember if you have the software problem go to Broadcom dot com . This is an excellent buy and and an excellent product ! I rate it at 4 stars only because of the poor quality support from Jabra. The device itself rates 5 star.

Excellent Product - Needs Windows Vista Upgrade

I bought this dongle to pair it with my A2DP "Stereo" Motorola HT820. When I received it, I connected with my headset.

First, the sound comming out was in "mono" channel. it results that the WIDCOMM driver in the CD, is not compatible with Windows Vista, so you have to go - download - and RUN the driver directly from the Broadcom website, otherwise is not going to work in "stereo" mode.

Once you have that installed in your Vista, you can listen in STEREO which is amazing... If you have Win XP, you don't need the driver from the website. That took me 3 DAYS for figure it out!!!! since they don't say in the "installation manual" the incompatibility with Vista so, if you read this, you might save some time...

It has worked perfectly with others devices such as Phones and hands-free. Overall this is a Great product.

doesn't work with windows 7 64 bit

worked like a charm with my Mac, a little more involved with windows 7 32-bit, and it's a no-go with Windows 7 64-bit due to the lack of MS signature on drivers. You can try Broadcom drivers, but IMHO, Jabra should probably just get their driver signed and save the consumer headaches.

If you're savvy enough, you can hack your way thru the 64-bit OS install, but it's not easy for a nubie.

I never could get my PC and my laptop to talk with a LAN connection, and had given up, until I got a cell phone and a bluetooth adapter. When I started sending files to my cell phone, it got me thinking, what if I had another adapter for my laptop? Would it let the two exchange files over a wireless connection?

My answer is a resounding YES. Just a bit of setup time and you'll have your PC and your laptop, and any other bluetooth capable machines all networked. I have eliminated the need for CDRWs, as Bluetooth will easily send the files without burning any discs. It feels like a dial-up connection, and it won't send folders unless they're "zipped", but otherwise a very useful investment for under $50

Jabra B/T dongle not comparable to plug&play USB WiFi dongles

Could never get it to work despite spending 5+ (futile) hours trying to install w/provided Windows CD. USB fevice not recognized on HP and Dell desktops or ASUS laptop (all Windows 7). Had to go to device manager and manually troubleshoot/update drivers but only worked on one machine and reset factory after reboot. *This Jabra unit _is not_ comparable to the USB WiFi (B/T) dongles upon which it is marketed.
