Awesome for call quality and dual phone/device users

Awesome for call quality and dual phone/device users
Update 9/19/2019:Still maintaining 4 stars for the value. Mine held up for 9 months of heavy use (8+ hours a day) but can no longer be used for voice calls. Issues started a week ago, sounding like there was a bit of static on calls - this got progressively worse over the course of a week and now the headset transmits a constant microphone hiss during calls, making it unusable.Considering purchasing again, but will shop around to see what else is out there that can handle dual-phone connections.Original Review:I carry two phones and am on them nearly all day and this headset is excellent. No complaints from the other end of the call and no repeating myself with these - the microphone placement on the neckband seems to help tremendously in picking up your voice and emphasizing it over other sounds/voices when on calls. This headset DOES connect to two devices simultaneously (I use it with an iPhone 7 and a Blackberry Passport) and can switch between them seamlessly when calls come in on either device, even when playing music. Before these, I tried the Bose Quietcontrol 30 headphones for 30 days and found them lacking. The Bose had a super secure and comfortable fit in ear with great sound, but the collar "walked" around my neck enough to be an annoyance and the microphone consistently had trouble delivering clear voice in even non-noisy environments when on calls. The ONLY complaint (and reason for 4 stars, not 5) is that the in ear buds do not stay in and I'm still experimenting with ways to hook these into the ear for better fit. If Jabra could make a pair of replacement gels that provided a secure fit this would be a 5-star review. For anyone else having this problem, I am experimenting with using the extra ear hooks from my TaoTronics wireless headphones and so far this has been a good compromise. The taotronics ear hooks slide on first and then the in ear cover from Jabra fits on top of that.

I have spent a lot of money over the past few years on several different Bluetooth headphones. I hate being tethered by wired headphones as I prefer the freedom to move around without getting tangled by the wire or having to carry around whatever device I am using to play music at the time, especially if it is my computer :-p I will address the Jabra Halo in a moment. I first need to contextualize my effort to find the "perfect" Bluetooth headphone. I have purchased and used the following headphones:
LG Tone - loved them, especially the magnetic ear bud holders. Sound was pretty good, but weighted on the ends more than I would have preferred. Used them for several years before the wire on one side shorted out.
Sony SBH70 - Sound is great! However, I ended up spending more money on ways to keep the darn ear pods in my ear. Also, hated the way they would dangle when not in my ears.
Sony SBH80 - Sound was not as good as the SBH70, which surprised and disappointed me. Plus, the ear buds also dangled when not in my ear.
MOTO Surround - Nice concept with the magnetic holders for the ear buds, but the sound simply was not up to par.
SoundPeats Q12 and Q29 - Loved the prices, but the sound was not adequate.
Sony MDRZX770BT - Over the ear headset with by far the best sound. These sound amazing, but not mobile and versatile as ear bud types.

Ok, so call me obsessive. It's ok, my wife does too. :-P I recently, and again Googled "Best Bluetooth headphones", narrowed down the search when possible on whatever site I landed on to review only ear bud style as well as around the neck style. When I saw that the Jabra Halo's had the magnetic holder capability for the ear buds, which keep one, or both out of the way when not using, I was intrigued. I was already aware of Jabra's quality with their mono Bluetooth ear pieces for years with call quality and all the reviews for the Jabra Halo mentioned their superior call quality and the Google Now/Siri integration. But, the music sound is what I am more concerned with as I use the headphones primarily for listening to music. I like to "plug in" when at work, but need the option to leave one ear free.
Well, I realize I have spent a lot of time jabbering, so now I will tell you all.... DO NOT listen to any reviewer who claims the sound quality when using for music playback is not good, very good, or even great. The Jabra Halo sounds AMAZING. The lows are smooth and deep without distortion. The highs and mids are perfectly tuned where neither the voices or the instruments are drowned out by each other and/or the bass. I am almost frustrated every time I look at all my other headphones laying around, or in a drawer... I wanted initially to leave the Jabra Halos at my work so they are always there and available, but now my dilemma is that I want these with me wherever I go! And with all this said, I never even mentioned the battery life! 2 to 3 times longer than ANY other Bluetooth headphone!
Do not even consider any other Bluetooth headphone if you are looking for an ear bud style, able to connect to multiple devices at the same time (laptop and phone), great phone call quality and absolutely awesome music playback sound quality. For less than $80!!! The Jabra Halo is a steal!

I will start by saying I use neckband bluetooth headsets full time for phone calls mostly, not too much media. They are around my neck from morning until night, so yea, they get used. I have used these for about a month now and they have some goods and bads. To start with, for full disclosure, I pretty much compare everything with my favorite headset, the Motorola Verve Rider+, but since its not made anymore, I have to find a replacement. To start with, the sound quality of these is actually pretty good. The silicone buds they include dont really work great, but I replaced them with my old Moto's and wow, they sound great. Many reviews mention the buds falling out of your ear, yes, this is true.......until I replaced the silicone buds, now they stay securely in my ear. The band itself is lightweight and doesn't ride heavy on the neck. The design leaves some to be desired though because the front extensions are too short and have no weight at all, meaning the headset can easily fall backwards off your neck. Because I use the headset full time, I look for some way to store the buds when not being used, without just hanging them. These do have a magnetic feature that is a good concept but not completely thought out like my old Moto headset, which had magnets on the end of the longer/wider extensions. Because the extensions are so short and tiny, and they secure somewhere in the middle, its very difficult to get them secured when you are done. They buttons on the extensions are pretty much useless for call since they are difficult to find by feel at times. They battery life for my usage is amazing to say the least. It is on from about 6:30am to about 10:30pm everyday, alot of that standby, a few calls, a few videos, that type of usage, and I charge it once a week. Thats pretty great! I have worked in the rain and also sweat pretty bad with them on and had no issues as of yet with moisture affecting them. They connect with my Moto Z2 Play flawlessly and have no problems keeping a solid connection with great sound quality for me and the person on the call. I really haven't tested the range farther than 10 - 15 feet so far, but they were fine with that. I think if they are purchased just for walking or jogging (providing they stay on your neck) I think these would be perfect, but for a full time headset, I will be still looking for something better designed. For the price point, they are awesome for the occasional user, but I never mind paying a little more for something that works. This is a great start, and I'll keep watching this company to see if they design something better suited for my full time needs because i believe they made a quality product, just not one for my needs.

Our family has a lot of Jabra products; Solemate speakers, headsets, Revos and earbuds. We are huge Jabra fans! We have 5 kids and my youngest, Camden who's teenager, has yet to get his own earbuds....until this week. Of course he wanted to use them right away and seriously in seconds he had them connected and tuning mom out with his tunes. I did want to know how they compare to other earbuds he's had and understand the features.

His words were, "These buds are so cool!
Good to know!

Here are a few other things he told me:
He said the sound comes in great and it connected right away to his iPod.
It's easy to adjust the volume and skip songs.
He likes that it has Siri and he can tell it what songs to play
The buds are magnetic and he says that will help prevent tangling.
They are comfortable
They fit well in his ears. Camden and his brothers work out a lot and throughout all their workout, the buds did not fall out.
He tried the Halo with the phone, watching a movie on the iPad and watched plenty of You tube videos and everything was clear.
He also said the battery lasts forever!

The Halo Smart buds are known to have a very long battery life 14-17 hours. That's incredible!
The only other thing he wants to figure out, but hasn't had time with school and sports , is to see if it works with his gaming system.

Again, I love Jabra's products and I find their prices to be a lot better than other competitors! I'll also say that many of my kids' friends have purchased Jabra products after seeing and using what my kids have.

When I've had a question here and there over the years, I've gone right to their Facebook page where my questions were seen and answered quickly.

Bought it from Cambium_SLP Seller for 3499, it was eligible for prime so excellent fast delivery by Amazon .. the packaging was not so good as the box was squished , but product wasn't damaged .

Coming to the earphones . They sound Excellent , the battery life is Amazing ! But the build quality makes it feel sort of cheep and it's quite hard to press the buttons and the band feels very rigid .

But the sound quality , range and battery life makes up for the average build quality.

The Jabra app couldn't connect to the head set on my OnePlus 3 phone but worked on a Redmi 3 . The app isn't very useful though so you won't be missing anything without the app .

All In all this is a great buy if you get it ! But it's always not in stock.

PS: I was sent a Waterproof DryBag from Jabra after about a week of purchasing this ! It was a pleasant surprise ! There was no mention of any freebies .

1.0 out of 5 stars Buenos a excepción del app de asistencia (editado)
Reviewed in Mexico on August 23, 2018
