All round great set of headphones.
But my ear cups seams came apart a few weeks ago, revealing the cotton inside. There was no way to fix or replace them. I had to glue them back together. Now both ear cups are glued. I didn't do the job so well so there's still an opening. Everything is beautiful but this is definitely a deal breaker.
You've been warned, you'll have to be prepared to throw away a perfectly working beautiful Bluetooth headset because of a simple design flaw. I'm hugely disappointed.
Picture depicts the first sign of trouble.
Controls are simple and work well. Again, most of the headphones I've tried are more confusing with the controls. These phones tell you when they are ready to link with Bluetooth and they link very quickly and strongly. When you shut the connection off for Bluetooth on the iPhone the headphones follow suit and shut off by themselves after a minute or so. I use the headphones with an iPhone 7. I prefer wired phones but it is impossible to get a reliable adapter cord to run headphones on the iPhone 7.
These have all the volume I need. For rock and indie, they have adequate range without the abnormal bass boost many headphones now have: Beats or Bose. For classical music, in general, they are ok, not great but ok. As with all cheap headphones, the upper midrange and lower highs are muddled on most tracks, but not so much it is a "turn them off and return them to Amazon" issue. All in all frequency response seems to be pretty good down to about 45Hz and a high end that seems to be around 17kHz - these are estimates but that's about what they are. The sound delivery is smooth within this range.
I'm buying another pair of these same headphones for a Xmas present for my son to use while he rides his bike to work. They are just great for outdoor activity and I like the sound from the closed cup headphones much better than the damned ear nozzles that are everywhere and just junk for under a hundred$. The headphones have adequate cushioning on the ears and the seal is very good. They are light and comfortable. I say if they cost under $60.00 then you can't beat them at that price with anything I've tried.
If these headphones last less than a year, I will update this accordingly. Sorry for the ragged description: I'm tired!
On the downside, I found that the microphone and associated electronics add some annoying buzz to the received audio when calling. It is intermittent. If you speak constantly it isn't noticed, if you stay silent also not noticeable. But during normal conversation it comes and goes.
