Navies has been assisting Ernest, the doctor of Jefferson City for five years after her Indian tribe threw her out. She's been a huge help to Ernest, but some of the townspeople don't like her because she's an Indian. She was also injured in a fire while with her tribe and one side of her face was badly burned and scarred. Ernest thinks she's beautiful on the outside as well as the inside. How will he find the courage to let her know, though? Maybe another fire will give him the courage he needs.

Jacira is the 6th book in the this wonderful series.
I have lived every one of these ladies stories.
Jacira is part Indian, has scars on her face and body from a teepee fire.
Jacira is also a healer, who has patiently waited for Dr Ernest Foster to notice her, as a woman. A marriage of mixed races was not acceptable socially at that time Jacira faces much discrimination from other towns people.
Dr Foster, is the son of the city mayor, who has decided all his sons will marry on Christmas day mail order brides.
Having been the most resistant to the idea, Doc, has watched his brothers change and choose a wonderful lady for their future wife
Ernest has not been in a rush to get married, and it takes time for him to realize that Jacira is the delightful, wonderful lady who will fit best at his side.
Indiana is a talented author with a lot of experience at her craft.
I look forward to her books being available to read.
Indiana always includes a detailed authors introduction blurb.
For more details please do read it.
I personally prefer to read books in the authors order, of publication.
Jacira can be read as a stand alone read, however there is some mention of earlier events that mention earlier books.

I have been waiting patiently for Ernest and Jacira’s story. It didn’t disappoint! Ernest Foster is the town’s doctor and son, of Mayor Arnold Foster, who like his brother’s, dislike. He angered his sons more by threatening Pastor Thomas Brooks to find mail order brides for them. They wouldn’t do anything their father said. They agreed to not get married and have their father win. Ernest’s five brothers did their best not to fall in love with brides chosen for them. Love won out with his brothers. He would not give in. Jacira is a healer who got scarred on her left side of her face in a fire. She is now totally afraid of fire. Her tribe shunned her after the fire. She was taken to Ernest who treated her. Being she had no job or place to live, he hired her as his assistant and gave her a place to stay. They became friends. The bride chosen for him was a very nice woman who helped out Pastor Thomas. There are twist and turns and a surprise in this story. Would Ernest find love! If so, to whom? This is a well developed story that’s well worth reading. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!

Jacira is a gentle, kind woman, who doesn't deserve what she gets from a jealous man

Soft spoken Jacira is shunned by her tribe after being burned in a fire, believing she'll bring them bad luck. She's always done the work of a healer, so moving to Jefferson City and working with Dr. Ernest Foster lets her continue healing. It doesn't hurt that she comes to love Dr. Foster, either. There's a jealous man in the community, though, one she's managed to keep at arms length for five years. When he decides to exact revenge Jacira is placed in an untenable position, a position where not only her life is at risk.
Another great installment to this series. I can hardly wait for the next one,
Will Jacira be able to face her fear of fire and save the innocents at risk?
Can Ernest overcome his fears and admit his feelings before it’s too late, or will this Christmas end in tragedy?
Find out in Jacira – The Christmas Brides of Jefferson City.

Jacira, an Indian healer who was shunned by her tribe after she was disfigured in a fire and Dr Ernest Foster have worked together for the past 5 years. They each have feelings for the other but neither of them has the courage to express those feelings. When Jacira shows extraordinary courage in rescuing a woman from a fire Ernest finds the courage to declair his love for Jacira. This in another great book by Indiana Wake and a great addition to the series. Will Mayor Arnold Foster be satisfied that all 6 of his sons will be getting married or will he want more? I receoved an ARC from the author and this is my honest and voluntary review.

This is a short sweet mail order bride story written by Indiana Wake. She has done an exceptional job with the plot and the characters. Ernest is the shy and honest town doctor and Jacira was a young Indian woman that had ever burned in a fire five years prior that left her face partially scared. Jacira worked with Dr Ernest in his surgery. Ernest had secretly fallen in love with her years ago and she was in love with him too, but didn’t have the courage to tell him or anyone. You will enjoy discovering how they find their happily ever after.

I received an ARC of this book from one of the authors, Indiana Wake, via Bookfunnel and this is my voluntary and honest review. I loved this book and was happy to read that Jacira and Earnest are the main interest of this book. This whole series has been the best and even though each book is a standalone, they are best enjoyed by reading them in order. I highly recommend this heartwarming love story by Indiana Wake and Belle Fiffer.

I have said each time that Indiana and Belle have added another book to this series that it was a wonderful addition, but I truly have meant it each and every time! Their characters and plots are superb and well drawn out to the end!! You most certainly will enjoy yet another of this series and you will NOT want to miss it!
