This book is about the journey of a young women growing on her own terms away from her prominent, powerful and loving family. On her pursuit of "What Makes Me Happy", she finds danger, intrigue, a new purpose and love. The characters make you want to keep a cup of cold water close by. I was hooked from the beginning.
For those who have read the previous books in the series:
This book took me back to Jasmine's convictions about raising all her kids with a strong sense of family and service to others. Jasmine is my Shero lol.
It was right to start the series with Jackie because she lived up to the characters painted throughout the earlier books. This set the puzzle pieces on the table for David, Renee and Adam stories to build off in the future books. The breeding questions are so many in my mind, but I hope we will learn more as the series continue.
It was great to see the other kids in the earlier books as side plots that I hope we will learn more about later.
Another home run Sydney Addae!
Jackie and Quinn as mates is a good fit they balance each other. To find out your mates when opening up while driving down the highway is crazy and having to pull over before you wreck and on vacation at that. It's fast paced and full of action not a dull moment. Silas is funny finding out his princess is mated and hasn't told him and Jasmine about it. So Jasmine being her self started talking about the mating heat and Silas shut that down fast because he didn't want to think about it.
I highly recommend this book and all the other books she has wrote
Quinn York was so much the perfect mix of tough and tender!
Sydney did an excellent job of fast forwarding us to the first of the Knight quads to leave the compound! Bravo Sydney!! Can't wait for the next three stories!
Quinn is an unregistered wolf, who keeps it hidden. He is also a doctor and works on the ranch with his uncle. They rescue pups who have been stolen by the rebels and the try to find their families. Quinn's uncle has no love for La Patron.
Quinn and Jackie meet, and sparks fly. They refuse to admit the possibility that anything could be happening. Jackie goes to visit Nionis and that's when reality hits. Nionis has been looking at what she can do to make herself happy and productive... and she found it.
The two of them seek out a rebel compound to rescue some pups, when they inadvertently run into Quinn and his people. He has no idea she is Jackie Knight. Can you guess why?? Jackie has a special link with her siblings, one that comes in handy.
I enjoyed this story and can't wait to see what happens with the other three.
Read on my friends.
