I absolutely love fractured fairy tales. We get the story from another point of view which makes for a very well rounded story.
Can't wait to share it with my kids!
If you are looking for a great read for your kids, THIS is it!
I loved that the authors dedicated their book to their mothers. My dad and I also dedicated our book to parents! So this was special as well.
I loved this book because of the twist it added to the story of “Jack & the Beanstalk”, which is, the giant in the story has a son called Ben! The giant was also much more peaceful than he was in the original story. The story tells that if we are too greedy then we may end up causing distress to others. If we are generous then we spread happiness and also win friends in the process. The story made me smile.
I also liked the illustrations in the book and the different fonts used in the text.
The book also has a lot of additional interesting features such as behind the scenes etc.
My favourite character was Ben, because at the end of the story, it seemed like he liked Jack a lot. My Dad liked the Giant.
The book is suitable for ages above 5, and ages below can read it with their parents as a bedtime story.
