Medical thrillers intrigue me because they combine emotional stories, health issues and challenging puzzles. That’s why my 101st novel, The Case of the Questionable Quadruplet, launches my Safe Harbor Medical Mystery series. Watch for the next book, The Case of the Surly Surrogate, in early 2017.
The new series is a spin-off of my 17 Safe Harbor Medical romances published by Harlequin. The mysteries introduce a new hero—obstetrician Eric Darcy, M.D.—and his best friend, a homicide detective. No need to worry if you’re new to the books, since each novel is written to stand alone.
My first 100 novels include not only traditional mysteries and medical romances but also historicals set in Regency England, romantic comedies, chick lit, fantasy and science fiction. Since my list is long, may I make a few recommendations?
Among the most popular of my Regencies are A Lady’s Point of View and Lady in Disguise. Looking for contemporary humor? Try Designer Genes or Yours, Mine and Ours. Prefer clean, funny romances with no sex? Don’t miss the hilarious Cindy and the Fella.
A heart-warming Christmas story? A Warm December and Daddy, M.D. may suit your taste. Offbeat plots? There’s One Husband Too Many (time travel) and The Cowboy and the Heiress (which contains a touch of fantasy).
