About the Author
USA TODAY Bestselling Author Sabrina Stark writes edgy romances featuring plucky girls and the bad boys who capture their hearts. She's worked as a fortune-teller, game-show contestant, barista, science writer and alas, jobs that required a hairnet. She has a journalism degree from Central Michigan University and is married with one son and two kittens. She currently makes her home in Northern Alabama.
When it comes to Sabrina Stark, I'm an unapologetic raving fan. Her poor heroines are always put through the wringer, but I enjoy the tension I feel while I wait to find out if they're going to be okay, and I love the humor of the crazy situations she gets them into. I confess to still being a bit confused about the source of Jake's income, but that's okay. As an alpha male, he makes the grade. Hot, sweet and baffling, that's the way I like 'em.
Like her sister, Luna has had her eye on one of the hot Bishop brothers for years. They're bad boys on the surface, and completely unsuitable for a nice girl, even one from a crazy family. Luna hadn't seen Jake for quite some time, since he broke her young heart actually, before he turned up unexpectedly and in an infuriating manner in the previous book. This one begins where the previous book left off, with Luna determined to get her life back by getting some distance from Jake before starting over. She's hampered by Jake's former publicist from hell and the arrival of her insane but lovable brothers, making it inevitable that Jake himself will show up just at the wrong time.
The misadventures and misunderstandings that ensue are classic Sabrina Stark. It's impossible to describe, so just read it and enjoy a laugh-out-loud joyride.
In all honesty, Luna was a horrible heroine. She never understood what was going on around her, was petulant, and just plain annoying to read. The only character I liked was Jake. He was trying to help her solve her problems and she just kept throwing it in his face or walking away. Halfway through this book I just started skimming pages. I couldn't take another scene with Bianca (who is only slightly more annoying than Luna) or no one ACTUALLY explaining what was going on. All of the conversations kepting going in circles about the same things. Maybe that's why Luna had no idea about anything. Half the time I didn't either. All in all, I gave it a 2star because the storyline was good, but it would have been great if the dialogue was written better.
Yup still want me some Jake!! This was a great completion of Jake and Luna's story, although I still think it could have been done with only one book. Luna got more annoying throughout the book that I started to feel for Bianca for having to deal with her. I still loved it.
this was the sequel to "jaked" it left me hanging in the first book, so I had to get the sequel. this one however was kind of annoying bc the chick couldn't make up her freaking mind about anything. it was so frustrating, but I finished it because I wanted to see what happen at the end. then the end was a disappointed bc I was left with like "that's it" I don't know if I would recommend this series, but if you already have the 1st book and your curious as to what happens next, then get this one, but don't expect anything great.
I absolutely loved the first book , but this second book the story was all over the place to me. The back and forth banter between Jake and Luna was driving me nuts, if I'd have been him I have left her in the dust. She was so whiny and treated Jake like a piece of Crap. The best parts of the book to me was Luna's two crazy brothers, they had me rolling with laughter. I really like this author and love her other books, but this one was just too chaotic due to Luna.
The story was a bit too elementary for me. I should have read the reviews before purchasing. Although every book I read is a diversion from reality for me, I found the story line too trite to hold my interest. The characters were shallow and predictable. I will try another book from this author but only if I preview it first.
