I have been a very loyal fan of this author and have recommended her books both in person to my friends and on my FB page. I am embarrassed now after this book and I didn't even read it all!

I purchased both Jake and Jax their release day, because in the past I would read one of Jennifer's books in a day. I kept putting Jake's book down.

I hated both Reese and Jake. Jake was sleeping with his twin's girlfriend. What I found really disturbing is that Jake watched his twin have sex with Reese.

The grammar was horrible. I thought she had people read her books ahead of the release date. Words were omitted, "new" was used for "knew" "there" for "their" and on and on.

There is no recovering from your sibling, let alone your twin, having an ongoing sexual relationship with your girlfriend behind your back so I refuse to read Jax even though I already purchased it because I just won't be able to get into it.

This love triangle was so much different that that of Colt, Van, and Ty.

I have never written a review before but this one bugged me. I was a little surprised that Jennifer would go there again after what happened in the first book with Jake and Jax father and uncle. I got to chapter 13 and stopped reading and just went to the end of the book to see how it ended. I don't like the cheating and sneaking around. Someone else said they felt bad for Jax and I agree. I do the the other Mitchell stories but not this one. I will read Jax and hopefully I won't stop reading that one.

A couple of hours that is all it took for me to read this book. I dove right in and only stopped for a few bathroom breaks. I LOVE this series. I have been waiting for these two boys' stories for a while. In all of the other books they seem like nothing but practical jokers, but that couldn't be farther from the truth in this book. My heart hurt for the pain that Jake and Jax go through in this book. They are broken because of a female. I have to say that I did like Reese, but I didn't always like her choices. Of course I have to remember that Jake made her make those choices. Jake tried to stay away from his twin's girl, but he loved her too much. I traveled back in time to the Savannah/Colt/Ty saga. Jake reminds me of Colt while Jax is Ty made over. There were a few times in this book that I didn't like Ty very much, but I know he is a dad trying to protect his family as well as keep them together. This book had me in tears more than anything. There weren't too many moments for joking in this one, but there were some hot scenes. I am immediately going to grab a bite to eat and then settle in for Jax's story. I'm sure it will be pleasing. Dual point of view. No real cliffhanger, but I feel you need to purchase Jax's book. Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!!

As you may have guessed based on the end of the Merry Mitchell Affair this story is all about Jake and Jax being in love with the same girl. The characters are funny and almost as hilarious as Ty! Though in true J4 style your heart will still break between the laughing fits and bouts of passion. And now a bit about the story...

Jake has tried so hard to push Reese away. He doesn't want to do anything to risk his brothers love. The twins have been best friends forever, inseparable for over 20 years, but one night in a cabin in the woods is about to change all of that.

Favorite passages:
- “What the h*ll is that odor?” my dad asked. “Have you been sleeping with pigs?”
- “Jake, please make good choices.”
- “Maybe it’s you that’s hard to deal with. I know most of time I can’t stand your face.” “Mirror mirror, we share a face, a$$hole. Unless you can’t stand yourself that makes no sense at all.”
- “It’s been a long time.” “Like three months. You said you were going to call. Did you lose my number?”

Of all the books in the Mitchell Healy Series, this is the first one where it doesn't seem weird to read about them in an adult relationship. Reading about Noah and Bella having sex was just almost not right, lol! Maybe because they were so prevalent in the original series as kids. I did not have that problem with Jake and Jax who are a lot like their father Ty. They end up in a situation that mirrors the whole Ty/Van/Colt story. Jake falls for his brother's girlfriend but tries to fight it.You have the makings of a really good storyline but I have to admit that all the drama that occurs after awhile was a bit too much. Situations that could have been avoided happen because they don't talk to each other. Also, there is a lot of back and forth with them saying one thing and then not following through with the plan, but I suppose all that drama is what makes the story work. Still, it held my attention and I was entertained.

Jenn’s writing of late has gone to a whole new level, finding the words, the right words to express an author’s work that has touched you is hard. We often doubt ourselves wondering if our reviews have done the justice it deserves.

You can feel the love, desperation, heartache and pain as it radiates from these characters. The Mitchell Family is and always has been one tight family unit, the love and devotion they have for one another no matter who they are or what they are going through is like no other.

For all the Mitchell and Mitchell/Healy fans you are going to love Jake’s story. If you think you know the twins from previous books you can think again, you are going to get to know them in a whole new light. These boys are well known pranksters, while Jax is like his father Jake is like his mother, he has a warm, understanding and has a compassionate side to him.

Jake and Jax are away at College, they’re the stars of the college football team, nothing and no one can come between this tight knit duo. They have a pact, no serious girlfriends until after they graduate and settle down to life of the farm and take over the family business. The boys are never short of attention, being gorgeous and popular has the girls flocking to them. All that is about to change when Reese comes into their lives.

Jax is in love with Reese, going as far as thinking she is the one for him. The close duo is now a trio, Jake and Reese become fast friends since they have a class together and are constantly around one another.

Jake however knows Reese probably better than she knows herself, after all they are so similar. So what happens when you fall for your twin brothers girlfriend and it slowly starts becoming obvious to some of those closest to you?
