While the songs on Grand Ukulele are generally easier to play and the arrangements more simplistic than on his previous album PLU, I feel like the transcriber has improved the accuracy for voicings and fingerings this time- to me, the tabs have less of a guitar feel and more of a native uke design.
Get the book, support Jake and spread the Aloha!
To be honest, I was expecting much as the album, Grand Ukulele, didn't do it for me quite like his previous album Peace Love and Ukulele. But the fact that every song is played using only one ukulele, compared to his previous album/book where you often required two or three ukes.
It's a great book and I would definitely advice everyone to get this.
If you haven't got either of Jakes tablature books, I'd recommend getting this first, as the overall level in this is slightly easier and requires less ukes.
