It begins with a background of Ian Fleming and how he created the idea for James Bond. Mr. Benson then moves to his family life and where he wrote many of the novels in his Shangri-La.
This book is complete and accurate (as of the publishing date).
Mr. Benson's love of the character comes through each page of the book, and provides a wealth of information to longstanding fans of 007 and those new to James Bond. This book could inspire someone only familiar with the Bond movies to explore the literary character in greater depth, generating a new appreciation for the source material and also providing fans with something rewarding to occupy themselves between films.
