I liked the book. It was an interesting read. Just remember it is fiction.
said, is a little here and a little there. I read this book
carefully and prayerfully. It is fiction but this could be
true from all I have read inspired about the subject. I
recommend it. Please check it against the Bible.
While the Bible doesn't give a lot of details about James or any of the older children of Joseph, and the life of James may have been different than the author portrays, I believe the author does an excellent job of portraying the attitudes towards Jesus from the viewpoint of traditional Jews who held the Pharisees in high esteem. And she made me examine my own heart and wonder how *I* would have reacted to Jesus if I had grown up with him. Perhaps we shouldn't be too sure that we would have reacted differently to Jesus than His contemporaries did.
An interesting and thought-provoking read.
I agree with James, not many of those who think they are following Jesus, actually understand his message.
Glory to our heavenly Father who sent us Jesus and all the blessings, including this beautifully written book!
