About the Author

Former professional poker player Glenn Gamble is an author from Chicago, IL who doesn't have one of those inspiring stories where he goes to the state penitentiary to discover his gift for writing amazing stories. Instead, he worked on his craft during long romantic dates at Starbucks and Panera Bread with his laptop and a story. His inspiration came from friends who encouraged him to pursue his dreams to become a writer. Without a prison sentence, Gamble has managed to pen A Thousand Chances, Bon Appetit, Escape, On the Run, James, and Busted; and is currently writing future installments of both the Jim Money and Darius Blaylock Poker Series.

In his spare time, Gamble likes to watch Chicago Bulls games, drop twitter bombs from the sky, slam facebook with status updates, and bet on low-stakes rat and roach races taking place in various public housing project apartments across the United States.

This novelette can be summed up in one simple word, LAUGHABLE! It is an absolute joke from its cover to the page which gives credit to the editor. Editor!??? Really??? My God, if someone considers this book edited, I can't begin to imagine what the unedited version must have read like. Look, I really thought the first book I reviewed by this author took the cake as the worst book I ever read, but then... I read this one. Why would I subject myself to a second pummeling if I disliked the first one so much? Well, sometimes when I read a book which is just plain bad (and I mean bad bad, not good bad), I'll follow it up by reading a second book by that author, all the while hoping that he/she will redeem him/herself. No such luck with this one! Mr T. used to have an expression, which he ran into the ground, on the TV series "The A Team"; he'd say: "I PITY THE FOOL"! Well it seems that fool is me! This is pulp fiction at its worst. It's so bad, it's got me quoting "The A Team", for Gods sake!

Rife with errors throughout, riddled with run-on sentences, peppered with inane ramblings and crawling with contradictions, it would be very difficult to find another book which is as poorly constructed and written as this one. Oh wait!, I take that back...after all, there are three books which precede this one... In any event, if you're looking for a book which contains multiple murders (at least 6 committed by a man who doesn't believe in murder), cannibalism, (yes cannibalism, you figure that one out), attempted rape, child rape, a recount of sodomy with a mini baseball bat and a shaker of salt (sort of gourmet sodomy if you please), cat fights (everybody loves a good cat fight, right?

Started weird, with the eating of people, and the language and characters were also a bit strange. But after continued reading, I felt I wanted to know the outcome. Keep writing Glenn, as you have gift you just need to refine.

I love that Mr Gamble continues his story line. I enjoyed reading how James turned his life around. You can count on each story picking up where the other left off. I totally enjoyed it. Good job Mr Gamble.

Gamble returns in the Jim Money series with James. James is older and turned his life around but still wants to seek revenge for his brother. Jim stepped in and helped James turn his life around but now he is in a fight against time to save his family because of James wanting to seek revenge. Gamble kept to the story line started from book one and keeps this story moving along. I was reading this until I finished. I like how Gamble has developed the characters from each book to the next and keeps my attention.

I liked this story, but I would title it something else. I get the whole reason behind the title, but James came in so late in the story that I had forgotten that he was somehow apart of it. Still in all, I enjoyed the read.

I just finished reading James and I really enjoyed it. As the rest of the Jim Money Series, Jim is back and in trouble again. Will he get out or will he finally meet his match? The story line is very well written and it's an awesome read.
