Jamie Bond is a former fashion model, turned cheating husband hunting Private Investigator. With her model colleagues, and fashion photographer playboy side kicks Jamie goes on the hunt for the all the juicy dirt that cheating spouses leave behind. And she always catches her man (or doesn't as the case may be.)
The series kicks off with Jamie tracking down a cheating Judge - and meeting a hot, new to town DA - only to find herself on the morning news accused of the judges murder. I found this to be the weakest of the 3 novels I have read. It was hard to engage with the characters in the first book, but that was an issue that I only had in book 1. The other 2 books gave the opportunity to develop the relationships between Jamie and the supporting characters.
In the second book Jamie goes on the hunt to find the person responsible for shooting her father 3 years earlier. This was by far and away my favourite book and I just couldn't put it down. I almost missed my stop on the train twice in one week due to hitting a good part of the story, and the train station simultaneously.
The third book see's Jamie hunting down a crooked DA, her father off on a mysterious adventure, his girlfriend tagging along with Jamie and turning out to be quite helpful, and Jamie's employee Caleigh's father turning up to meet her new "fiancee". Naturally Jamie does what she does best - ignore the rules, avoid getting killed and catching her baddie - while trying to not entangle her life in complications any more than necessary.
I thoroughly enjoyed these stories and they're the perfect way to fill in a 90 minute each way commute. If you want a sassy, funny, well designed and developed series to entertain you, these are the books you are looking for.
