Throughout the book, Mr. Collier gives equal "air time" to the whole spectrum of his emotions. Humor, sadness, anger, contempt, disappointment, hope, nostalgia, joy and unconditional love are all included!
As most people are, I'm a sucker for stories where the underdog wins--particularly true stories. This book will make you feel like Mr. Collier is a friend of yours that you've known since childhood.
Initially, I was a little disappointed that the book ended a little bit "flat" until I stopped to realize that Mr. Collier still has many years remaining and this is but the beginning of a tremendous story!
Mr. Collier's book is thought provoking. His willingness to be vulnerable so openly is extremely refreshing. Please buy a copy of this book for yourself and another to gift to someone you love. You will thank yourself for having done so.
