I guess I'm more of a 'Beautiful Bastard' and 'Beautiful Stranger' kinda gal (with regards to sizzling romance with oodles of wit and smexy alpha heroes that have readers laughing out loud (in a gym). Need I say more?
I mean, there were some intriguing stories throughout, but this is the one where Mia Sanders met the infamous Weston Charles Channing the third. He was sexy as sin, and the sexual (and otherwise) tension between them was palpable. He had her for an entire month, and it seemed to go by too quickly for both of them. She was more open than the rules allowed, which was a line she wasn’t supposed to cross. But it was something that drew them closer together. Also, Mia was stronger and sassier in this first month, and I liked that about her. It was before she made more of the life-changing decisions. I also liked that Wes was someone who she couldn’t seem to keep off her mind. And as much as he fought it, he had the same problem. And I loved the way he was on her mind throughout her adventures of the year. It was full of steam and sweet torture.
January's client is Wes a script writer. Mia goes in with no plans to fall in love with her client but since he is hot she thinking he might end up in her bed. I loved this story and it was fun to read. The author does a great job of bringing the characters to life for the reader. I fell in love with Wes too! He is not the pretentious snob Mia thought she might be meeting. I jumped right into February as soon as I finished January.
A must read for those who want to keep the pages turning. A sexy story with a little romance. The question is...will Mia find her HEA by the end of the series? I’m off to read the next to find out.

What an amazing start to the series as it launched Mia’s story with fireworks, sizzle & sex and talk about off the chart chemistry. January explained Mia’s family problems. It opened up the door for a year’s worth of memories / options and questions for Mia and her life. I found that it gave me a great perspective on how, strong, sassy & how lovable Mia, handsome, rich and oh-so-fine panty melting Wes.
Money can make people do things they never dreamed of... and this is only the beginning of Mia's journey. Mia Saunders is in such desperate need of money. Not just a small amount. The job Mia has to do do is work at Exquisite Escorts which is run by her Aunt Millie who offers high priced escort services. Mia's role is to serve as high priced arm candy to any man that can afford the $100,000 price tag per month of her company. Sex is optional (for Mia) and a 20% increase on the price. If Mia doesn’t get it, her Dad will pay the ultimate price.
I am totally intrigued to see how this Mia's Journey will progress each month. This is one is the kick start to a awesome serial. I'm for one is thrilled to be getting a monthly installment from one of my favourite awesome authors.
Audrey Carlan is amazing. If i could give more than 5 * i would, Lovely start to the year
This is funny, sexy and a light quick easy read. It’s just over a hundred pages long and once you start it’s hard to stop. Aunty Millie runs Exquisite Escort agency and Mia has no choice but to work for her. Her January job is for wealthy Weston Charles Channing III and the contract is for 24 days and 100,000 dollars, sex not included or expected. When they meet he is incredible attractive and Mia finds herself in an unexpected whirlwind of fun and luxury. She’s soon wondering if she ever wants to leave him and take next month’s booking…
This is enjoyable stuff for adults from author Audrey Carlan and certainly kept me amused. I look forward to reading Mia’s February’s adventure as she monthly attempts to pay back the debt. A good start to this fun and sexy series which we can follow over the coming year.
To be fair to the author I actually liked the characters at the very start of the book, other than some questionable life choices it seemed that Mia had some balls about her and when I was first introduced to her January client, Wes, I thought ok, I can get on board with this, this guy seems alright.
Sadly as soon as they got together both characters really started to disappoint me to the point that I couldn’t wait for the book to end, holding out hope that something miraculous would happened to turn it around.
Both characters are insipid and lack any real depth of connection with each other. The original sign of chemistry – right at the beginning when Mia met Wes – evaporated quickly when the storyline basically descended into poorly written sex scene after sex scene. The main hangup I have about the storyline itself is that Mia’s only option to make some money is to sell herself, and then repeat that another 11 times, I mean she lives in Vegas and if I’m not mistaken there is more than one giant casino there right? She couldn’t have tried that first? And as for Wes, getting an escort because his mummy wants him to, I can’t even.
It’s wishy-washy and amateur and to that end I won’t be reading the rest of the series just to see how this ultimately ends up because it looks to me like just another 11 version of the same story are in store.
