Let us be real here for a minute. This escort service is far fetched and unbelievable. It is simple logic that there are no women out there that can have six figure paychecks through a month's work as an escort. I know about these things. I've done extensive research into the life of even the finest escorts, and their payments would never amount to what lucky Mia is getting. But, unlike many readers who can't read a book of fiction without it being incredibly realistic in every sense of the word, I was completely okay with this. I love stretching things out and I liked the author's imagination. When I picked up the book, I was immediately drawn in. It takes a damn good writer to do that, and in only 105 pages no less.
The book is short. I can buy a book the same price and it can be a few hundred pages long with a HEA, but again, I feel book one in this series is worth it. Somehow the author has fleshed out these characters, this story line, and really had us in their world. I didn't feel like ANY of these characters were one dimensional.Read more ›
So Mia has had a rough life growing up and has learned to take care of her sister and father since her mother left. So when she needs to become and escort to save her dad, it's just another way of her saving him. Something she is completely willing to do. Mia is a bad ass chick but you can tell she puts up a tough shell because she is concerned with protecting her heart since she has given it away so many times. I love how free and loose she becomes with Wes because she feels she can just finally relax with him and things are easy.
Wes makes it a point that they should have rules to not fall in love with each other since they are sleeping together. But little by little Wes is completely falling for Mia and wants her to stay with him instead of getting a new client each month. He has even offered to pay for the loan shark so she doesn't have to work for the money. Mia refuses and I understand why, she needs to fix this on her own in her own way and she really needs to find herself and not rely on a man to take care of things for her. So her and Wes decide to stay best friends with benefits and if it's meant to be in the end of the ear, she will come back to him.
I'm really rooting for these two because like I said, I fell in love with THEM from the beginning.

I really enjoyed this story! This is a very short story that makes up a series. Each story is a month in the life of Mia. Read morePublished 7 days ago by Broadway Girl Book Reviews
