This bento box has become the envy of my co-workers at lunch. I absolutely love it.

Pros: This bento is very compact. It has two levels which are seperated by a white plastic cover. The top level has a removal divider which is useful when you have foods of differing sizes. Inside the lid is a pair of white chopsticks which are great b/c they keep you from constantly searching for utensils.

Cons: It is not microwave safe. If you are a bigger eater, I'd advise you to get a bigger bento. To give you and idea on the size: on the bottom level I can fit a small plate of spaghetti, or small chicken breasts, or one medium sized burritto. The top layer, I typically use for things like a small package of baby carrots, pretzels, grapes, sliced mangoes, a very small salad (bigger if you take out the divider). Also should you try to cram too much inside, the lid will not lock properly or it will smoosh your food stuffs in the top level. I emphasize that this is only if you try to put too much in there.

Overall, if you are a bento fan, this is very well the bento for you. I'd also recommend this to bento beginners and dieters as it works well for portion control.

I got this bento box for my birthday a few weeks ago. I love the sleek design (I didn't want a cutesy one) and how the lid snaps on. The chopsticks were a plus, the bottom inch or so is textured to make gripping slippery foods easier.

I have brought a bento lunch every day since, and I find the compartments the right size. The bottom holds about 2 cups and the top just slightly less than that. The top shelf has an removable, adjustable divider. Today, for example, my top compartment held 3/4 cup of 7 bean salad on one side, and 1 cup of sobe noodles. The bottom held 2 cups of salad greens. It was prefectly portioned and the dressing didn't slop from one compartment to the other, or leak out of the sides.

the good points about this bento box:

1. roomy enough for a porker like me
2. comes with textured tip plastic chops
3. two trays, one sealing tray
4. divider for one tray
5. snap closure - no band required
6. compact rectangular size (i.e., not square or round)
7. inexpensive

the bad points:

1. white plastic interior cover (will stain?)
2. white plastic chopsticks (will discolor?)
3. no indication of microwave compatibility (can't figure out the icon)
4. insipid logo on top: "Dear Label" WTF is that?

so, overall the good outweighs the bad... this box will get some use in the
pannier rack for carrying lunch while on the bike trail...

dunno if i'd trust for no seepage, so best for solid, non-wet items
(besides, the little fish/pig sauce containers work well for soy, fish, or hot sauce)

I got this Bento Box today, and it is nothing like image in the picture, the only thing it has in common is the color, everything else is different, and the top lid where the chopsticks go, was broken when I opened it.

Box works just fine and I bring curry and rice to work almost every day since I have had it, ~2 ish weeks now. The only complaint I have is how super small the chopsticks are that comes with them. They are made for someone with small hands. I cannot grab things with these with my large hands.

Bought two of these for my husband and I to use. Great for portion control. I have a cafeteria at work, but if I eat there, I eat too much. This has the right amount to hold me over until dinnertime. We've had no issues with using a microwave with the bento boxes. Like others have said, it is not water-tight, so not for soup or thin sauces. Both of us have begun to lose weight now that we are eating healthier. We make our lunches around the same time as dinner. I usually have rice in the bottom compartment and have tortellini/chicken nuggets and carrots in the top compartment. I love showing it off to co-workers and they love it.

I don't like eating huge American portions of lunch, so when I received this in the mail, I was impressed with the size. Two good-sized tiers for salad and veggies in one and noodles or fried rice in the other. The hidden chopsticks is pretty nice too.

The only problem I have with this box is that you have to fuss with it to get it to snap together properly. Also, it is a bit tedious to clean.
