Product Description

The Japanese have been using Tetsubin teapots for centuries to brew tea, heat water & provide comfort and warmth. The unique design of this teapot and cup is that they are stackable and tiny. These should not be placed directly on the stove top burner. Cast iron pot lined with enamel to prevent rusting. Hand wash.

The teapot, for whatever reason, was much smaller than I expected. There's no frame of reference in the pictures, but it fits neatly into the palm of your hand, and the cup is about the size of a shotglass. So asides from brewing a shot of tea at a time, it has a nice weight to it and looks beautiful.

This is tiny. Reminds me of something one might put a shot of warmed sake in instead of tea. Whatever... I was aware that it was tiny when purchasing and bought it simply to add to my collection of Japanese cast iron teapots. Looks great on my shelf and will be a small pride of ownership piece for years to come. Very happy with it.

I gave this a 3 star, cause I didn't expect it to be so tiny. The teapot is way smaller than the cup. Not a great teapot set for one to use. I kept it because it's cute, but I don't know if I'll ever be able to use it.

I ordered this without paying attention to the size, but it is only 2 inches tall! What is the purpose? And the price for such an item is ridiculous. I was very disappointed, and returned it to the seller.

It is tiny and cute, as others have said, but the cup at least is a usable size. I measured and it holds 2 oz (1/4 cup, or a double shot glass) of tea, and the teapot actually will fill it. Many small cups with ordinary tea sets are only 4-6 oz, so it isn't as small as it seems. Also, the main thing I was after was a tea set I could use just for myself that my cats would be hard-pressed to break, but that would still keep tea hot. I will probably rig a tea light warmer for the teapot at some point.

This item was bought as a gift. It was well packaged and well made. My only complaint is that it was smaller than I expected. I anticipated a pot that would make a single cup of tea, and the pot was really just a cute knickknack. A description that made this clear would be more useful.

BUYER BEWARE: This is a very cute little ornament, but NOT the teapot I had wanted.. I never saw that it said MINI teapot and the picture showed it as much bigger and I do remember it saying it held 8oz, which it does not..It is lucky to hold a shot glass if that.. I was very disappointed in this purchase as it was to be a gift to my daughter..I guess she will use it as a little decoration because it certainly will not hold tea .!

All in all it is cute but certainly not worth $22. 00 Think before you buy this..
