When I went through my 6 year relationship break up someone recommended this song to me. It's actually a pretty good song! It's slower, has attitude with conviction and you can tell this is a woman learning quickly through experiences what does and does not work for her. But because of this clarity she won't let his guy hurt her any longer and he's going to hear all about it. It's a strong song helping keep it's female listeners empowered to look out for this type of guy that uses women. Stand your ground ladies and keep your eyes open because there are a lot of guys out there like who she sings about. But there's hope. Weed out the bad ones to leave all the good ones to choose from.

I heard this first about 2 1/2 years ago, then got sidetracked. I was reminded of it again recently when her song ARMS was used in the new release movie Safe Harbor. I could watch the video of this one over & over. Her walk, attitude, boots, dress and facial expressions speak volumes. You can't help fall for her, and be driven to comfort her, yourself, or one you love, or have lost. Some of my peers do not get this song. I think that is actually a compliment. The very best songs have to speak to you (and maybe not your neighbor). You can not help but 110% believe that she means every single word and wanted to say more. I bought this, ARMS and BLACK & BLUE.
Wow, what a great song! I'm a guy who might be annoyed at the bitter attitude reflected in lyrics. But, it's a fresh and simple angle of this oldest of themes -- the broken heart and resulting resentfulness. My favorite line is, "You're gonna catch a cold from the ice inside your soul." Very clever. Congrats to the songwriter (Christina?) for nailing this song. The structure is strong, chords change pleasingly, arrangement is simple so as not to over dramatize, vocals are beautiful, lyrics clever and refreshing. That's what good songwriting is all about.
I love this song! Christina Perri has got a great voice, and a different voice. I love it. I love everything about this song. It is very nicely put together! I especially love the lyrics. It's not every day when someone can write a song with such powerful lyrics, and visual ones. The song is so raw and powerful, but yet simply done.
I am not sure how I came to hear this song, but I fell in love with it immediately. Christina Perri's voice is like crystal, clear & light. The song is very moving & powerful. I have added her as one of my go to artists.

Most people know the title song, and it's great, but the entire album is even better than expected. Fantastic blend of mellow and more upbeat, with clever lyrics. My husband bought it for himself, and highly recommended it to me. Now it stays in my car and he has to beg me to let him have it back! Buy this album!
I like singer-songwriter type songs, so this came up for me on Pandora recently. I started hearing it more places and people were talking about it, so I jumped at the chance to buy it at 69 cents. Definitely a good deal! Christina Perri has a really great voice, though I'd love to hear some more upbeat stuff from her, with more instruments incorporated. It's good if you like stuff like Sara Bareilles, Kate Voegele, etc. and that's just my thing! :D
