3.0 out of 5 stars Yes, they’re the sharing jars
By PoopyPants on July 8, 2022
I knew these quart size sharing jars were hard to find, and they are pretty pricy here on Amazon (I’m guessing it’s a reseller) but I bit the bullet and purchased them anyway. I need them for an event, I was already able to get the pint size sharing jars at a local hardware store, and I’m running out of time.

I needed 12, but purchased 16 due to my time crunch. I was afraid some may come broken.

After I purchased 4 packs, I realized the most recent review stated they received the spiral jars instead of the sharing jars, so I was mentally prepared to receive the wrong product.

When they arrived a was SHOOK. They were the correct jars *and* they were wrapped in bubble wrap!!! None were shattered!

Realizing I should still inspect them, I opened up both Amazon boxes, de-bubble wrapped, then opened up the first box to see just how pretty these jars are in person!

The first jar I looked out had a deformity. At closer inspection it also appears to be cracked. I then checked all 16 jars.

Several jars had either deformities, bubbles, appeared “foggy”, or had tiny little chips where it looks like the glass molds come together (for lack of a better explanation). None looked as “perfect” as the little pints I already set up. I was set on returning them all, but then instead decided to separate them out into 3 categories; “Looks great”, “Looks OK-ish/I can live with it”, and “Nope”.

None of the jars looked “great”. 8 out of 16 had issues that I just not could not look past for the price they are per jar (seven fifty).

I will keep the other 8 mainly because I had my heart set on this look, but most importantly I am running out of time.

I’m going to be completely honest; after I pulled out the third jar thought, “I think these are seconds”. That’s the only explanation I can come up with. Unfortunately, these are not worth the full retail price that they *before* they were discontinued (which I think was about twenty; on Amazon I paid thirty for a pack of four)

I’m totally bummed. I hope Ball brings these jars back to the retail space so they’re easier to buy. It’s a great look for people who are not into the “country” or “farmhouse” look. They’re very classy!
