We used to love this toothpaste! But the ingredients are radically different now. The new kind foams up like crazy (what's that for?) and doesn't leave teeth feeling nearly as clean as before. We've bought this kind for YEARS now. Not buying again unless they go back. There's other decent floride-free options.

This is the first time I've tried a natural toothpaste. Until now I've been mainstream, fluoride, whitening, sensitive, etc. But I've read a lot about flouride since I've had kids and it kind of freaked me out. I didn't want to make my own so I found this stuff. Omg. Seriously. My teeth have never been this clean. No sensitivity either. I've only used it for a week but I absolutely love it. If you're looking at it, buy it. Seriously. It's really good. :)

KNOCK-OFF!!! not the real thing

I attempted to give Amazon feedback on this but could not. I have been using this toothpaste for years. I think I have ordered it through Amazon before but not sure. It was an add on at a decent price so I ordered it. When it arrived and I used it, it was obviously a different product. JASON is an all natural brand, and this is labeled as fluoride and SLS free. People who are sensitive to these rely on the packaging. I don't know about the fluoride, but I am pretty sure this has the SLS in it. Its a foaming agent, and that was the first hint I had that this was not the real thing. It makes globs and globs of thick sticky foam. The usual Sea Fresh does not. It also doesn't leave the same minty freshness after brushing, just kind of a chalky cool. I thought maybe it was just me, so I used some from another tube I had for travel and the difference was obvious. So, thinking maybe they were using a new formula, I went out and bought a new tube. The new tube from the expensive healthfood store had the authentic paste that I was used to. I hope Amazon can take this off the shelf, as it is not the real product. I do not want to pay to ship it back so I will be throwing it out.

I'm sensitive to SLS as this chemical causes canker sores on the lining of my mouth. I have only been using JASON toothpaste for the past 8 years and have not once had a return of a canker sore.

I did go on vacation for a week a few years ago and forgot my JASON toothpaste , I wound up using Crest or some other big brand figuring why not for just a week. Sure enough, towards the end of vacation an canker sore formed in my mouth.

I love the Jason Seafresh Toothpaste. It tastes good, and I like the fact that it doesn't contain any toxic fluoride, SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate), or zinc. My dentist strongly advised me to stop using the Tom's brand of toothpaste I had been using for months because it contains both SLS and zinc. I had heard about the cases of peripheral neuropathy that resulted from the zinc that is in many denture cream adhesives. I have all of my teeth and therefore do not have to use denture cream adhesives, but just to be on the safe side, I asked my dentist if the zinc in my Tom's toothpaste might also be toxic. He said it's possible and told me to switch to another toothpaste without zinc for tartar control. After researching different toothpaste brands, I discovered the Jason Seafresh Toothpaste and ordered it. It is also a tartar control toothpaste, and it always leaves my teeth feeling very clean and smooth. I can tell already that it is helping to prevent plaque build up--and without any toxic zinc. Jason Seafresh Toothpaste is also good for strengthening and whitening teeth. I am very pleased with this toothpaste and highly recommend it!

Serious sensitivity relief (for me anyway)

I don't normally write toothpaste reviews, but this one deserves it. I was using some sort of Crest brand for sensitivity, but since I seem to have an aversion to SLS in shampoo, I wondered if it was making my teeth And gums messed up too. After a month or two of using this, I can eat ice cream and it doesn't hurt! This is monumental.
For someone who has suffered (yes, it is suffering when you can't eat room-temperature fruit without pain) for decades with tooth sensitivity, I am blown away. I don't really know if it's the SLS that is irritating to me or something magical that IS in the toothpaste that helps, but I'm really happy. My quality of life is improved.

A better alternative to stuff like Crest and Colgate

I use this toothpaste with a quip electronic toothbrush. It's quite a bit different from something like Crest or Colgate in taste and texture. It took a while to get used to it. It's not as sweet and the froth from brushing has a thicker consistency. Now, I can't stand using Crest or Colgate or other similar kinds of toothpaste. It feels like I'm brushing my teeth with sugar. Jason is definitely the better option and I won't be switching back.

One other thing I'd like to mention is that Sea Fresh is something I can deal with daily, but the Clove flavored one starts to bother me after a while. I guess I like cloves in curry and tea, but not in my toothpaste.

I've tried multiple "natural" toothpastes and this one honestly isn't my favourite as it doesn't leave me feeling minty fresh. Overall, I think this is an ok product, average at best as there are better alternatives such as Tom's or even Marvis.
Keep in mind that this product contains CARRAGEENAN, which is derived from a natural source, yet can be particularly destructive to the digestive system. THIS MAY RAISE SOME ALARMS BUT IN TOOTHPASTE IT IS HARMLESS! In order for your digestive system to be compromised you would need to CONSUME A LOT OF CARRAGEENAN, and this is a toothpaste! As in, you DON'T EAT IT!
So for those of you that are wary of this product, don't be, as toothpaste is not made for consumption...if you are consuming your toothpaste, then I would definitely suggest you pass...lol.
