I've had this downloaded album since it's early release. It is a collection of live numbers, all of which are very well done by Jason and the band which toured with him prob at least the last couple of years. My personal copy is saved in Amazon's cloud so I should have it from now on which is a good thing. My favorite is a song that I swear was an old song, I'm not sure. I don't have liner notes. That song is "I'll Take Jesus".

Many of the songs are older hymns or gospel favorites but with this cut with Jason and this very special band are just made out of this world. The take is the best versions of the songs that I remember. I don't hesitate to highly recommend this. It's one of those you'll play over and over.

Oh yea, the reproduction sounds just like they sound in person and I just listen with headphones. Great contemporary instrumentation. I heard them a little over a year ago in LaGrange GA. Everything is clean, masterfully performed and recorded, mastered, and reproduced. Again, I have the downloaded mp3 version.

Highly recommended. one of my current favorite gospel albums. This is Southern Gospel up front and so enjoyable, bright, and most importantly anointed spiritually. There are a lot of soulful spiritual bluesy influences in the album too as in "Jesus on the Mainline".

The Isaacs, Sonya and Becky join the group in a specially anointed version of Who Am I, a southern gospel fav. Bill Gaither and William Lee Golden from The Oak Ridge Boys join him on "Why Me", once made popular by Kris Kristopherson. It's done with an acoustic guitar.

Crabb family favs who join him on this night's performance sing "Through The Fire" and "Sometimes I Cry". Oh yea.

Worth much more than the current asking price as of 12-2011.

I love Jason Crabb and this collection of classic hymns is absolutely amazing. Jason and his band know how to take a song and put their own spin on it that makes you feel like you are hearing the song for the first time. I can't even choose a favorite. Every song is amazing. Jason's vocal ability is truely God sent and to hear him singing these old hymns is such a blessing. You will know every song in this collection. Two songs standout for their originality and arrangements, "God On The Mountain" and "Midnight Cry". These performances are unbelievable. You will be listening to this entire CD over and over again. I would recommend this CD to everyone. Get this CD, you will be blessed.

I'm still trying to figure out how Jason Crabb came out white. (LOL) He has outdone himself! The one-star review stirred my curiosity (as I couldn't imagine a one-star review next to his name), so, after listening to a few track samples, I bought the mp3 album--realizing I could wind up disappointed but figuring there may be a handful of songs I could salvage.

I've laughed, yelled, clapped, cried like a baby, writhed uncontrollably to the soulful pulls, and pealed out "Sang it, white boy!" more than once--thoroughly enjoying every second of this awesome, uplifting album. And there's some crazy harmonica goin' on is all I can say! This album will NOT disappoint in the very least if you are a Crabb family fan. Admittedly, I was curious as to the claims about "Jesus On the Mainline," as I couldn't imagine someone putting enough of a spin on this old church jingle to make it unusually "exciting" . . . or terrifically interesting on a contemporary level. (All apologies.) This is the most bluesy, "heady" version I've ever heard of this song! Unbelievable! It takes this rather ordinary tune, dusts it off, and gives it a whole new life. The instrumentals are awesome and this, then, becomes the perfect crescendo to the following sublime and gravity-defying "Beulah Land."

Jason is nearly unrivaled as one of the most spirit-provoking, soul-stirring, emotionally animated, and divinely talented vocalists of our time, as far as I'm concerned. As for the one-star review, there is no more "yelling or screaming" on this album than one would expect on any Crabb album. Those of us who love Jason's music realize he's only an innocent victim of the intense fire shut up in his bones that must be externalized! (Which is the very reason most of us are supporting his ministry.) ;-)

I am going through many struggles in my life. After hearing the song "Through the Fire" on a Gaither program,I had to have Jason Crabb's CD. There are so many other songson it that help me to reflect on God's love for me, not only in good times, but in times of sorrow and trouble. The songs are so uplifting, I play them everyday. Great CD.

I bought the DVD version of this collection, and what can I say? If Jason Crabb is singing, it's gotta be great! I think I enjoyed the older songs best...Beulah Land, When He Was On the Cross, God on the Mountain...POWERFUL, POWERFUL, POWERFUL.
If you have the opportunity to see Jason live, and I have, you will immediately feel the anointing on this man the second he walks onto the stage. That same anointing transfers thru the DVD. My advice? Buy the DVD, it's soooo worth watching over and over. Buy the CD, too...keep it close to you. Jason Crabb is the real thing, as is the entire family.
