Besides writing books and hosting The Math Dude podcast, Jason Marshall works as a research scientist at Caltech studying starburst galaxies and quasars. Prior to that, he was a postdoctoral scholar at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Jason obtained a Ph.D. from Cornell University and a B.S. in astrophysics from UCLA. In addition to these astronomical interests, Jason also has many earthly diversions. These include travelling, learning about the latest tech trends, watching and playing soccer, and spending time with his wife exploring the world around their Los Angeles area home.
