At first she comes off as a strong female character in touch with her sexuality. But she turns into...
The type of girl that is okay her friend drugged her with Xanax without her knowing and explains it away as "Haha, I should have known better. Silly me."
A girl that excuses a guy who tries to bed her while obviously intoxicated, again blaming herself.
A girl who says one thing, then gets upset when she's listened to and turns into a self deprecating and self debasing idiot. She tells a go to answer his phone, reassures him it's okay, then gets all bent out of shape and wonders if she's not good enough for him because he answered his phone!
I'm only halfway through the book. I can't stand this girl. I'm not sure if I'll finish it, because I'm frustrated with her, but if I do I will update. Maybe she sees the error of her ways later?
No. Just no. The plot of this book is unbelievably terrible.
The other main character is an abusive alcoholic who beats pregnant women within an inch of death and he's going be redeemed somehow?? Nah.
And the main female character simply isn't believable as a real person. Your live in boyfriend disappears completely for a day and a half, and you're fine with that? Happily walking the next morning without a care in the world?
This author does not seem to know how to write *real* characters that people can actually connect with. Even if you get this book free on Kindle Unlimited, don't. It's a waste of your time.
And you'll see, I don't usually write negative reviews. I really don't. I read a lot of these types of books and many aren't great but oh well. But this.... This is simply terrible. Please don't read it, especially if you're young. Women should not look to these characters as representations of anything good.
