I had a Jaton GeForce FX5200 128 MB Dual Head PCI Video Card pre-installed on my custom HP desktop over four years ago. The HP has three monitors, and I stream a lot of financial data for my work, so the card got a real work-out. When the card died a few months ago, I worried that I wouldn't find a replacement. To my surprise, Amazon still carried it. The card was easy to replace. The software had been updated, so configuration was close to plug and play. A free five-minute call to tech support helped me tweak it to work with the other video card in the HP. My technical abilities are limited, so whenever something is this easy, I'm ecstatic.

Got this card so I could add a few more monitors to my computer, but have a nice radeon as my main card. So haven't tried any games or benchmarks or anything too intense with this card yet, but here's what i can say about it:

The Good:

- for just displaying basic windows forms, maybe watching a movie - it performs just fine

- seems to work fine with the latest geforce drivers

- setup was a breeze, just plugged it in and it worked

- fan is quiet and low profile, no issues with fitting in pci cards around it

The Bad:

- included driver cd has a pretty lame setup program ... no biggie, but i just wouldn't bother with them if i were you, just get the latest from nvidia

- took approx 20 hours of tinkering to get the thing to work simultaneously with an ATI card. if you are trying to put two cards in your system, i strongly recommend making sure they are both the same brand, even if it costs more

- can't get any info from nvidia about this card, looks like it's already too old

Overall, does exactly what I wanted it to do, for a pretty good price. Five stars.

I had someone contact me about their old Dell Dimension 3000.
I noticed once inside that the board, for some odd reason, lacked an AGP slot for an older graphics card.
The customer had originally just complained that the graphics they had had had been very lacking and could no longer play YouTube or Netflix videos, which is generally all they wanted to do.

So rather than just get a new Desktop for them, I got this nice little PCI GPU card and stuck it in there.
It plays all of their videos that they want to watch decently and they didn't have to pay to buy a completely new Desktop, while although considering the age of the Dimension 3000, would be recommended, they simply didn't want to waste money on something they didn't need for more than watching videos and browsing the web.

Couldn't have gone smoother. I always cringe when I work on 'ancient' XP machines. And with it being a Dell I was hoping there wouldn't wouldn't be conflicts with customized drivers, and there weren't. As always: read instructions before you start. The order of installation is very important, and we have gotten used to our current operating systems making things easier than they used to be. Chances are good you have forgotten a few specifics if you don't work on older machines regularly.

The DVD that contains the drivers for this product does not run on Windows 7. You have to explore the disk and drill down to the Vista folder and run the install from there. It isn't apparent that you need to find the Vista folder first. The drivers Windows wants to install does not provide any more than basic operation. The manufacturer does not provide drivers or software for Windows 7 on line. However, after installing the Vista drivers this card worked as expected.

If you need a PCI video card that will support dual monitors and don't mind lack of instructions this card should work for you.

Received a very lame error message saying that this graphics card can only run on 32-bit Vista/Windows 7 (I have 32-bit Windows 7 installed). tried downloading drivers from Jaton's very lame website. Download wouldn't install; returned an error saying file was corrupted (should have never had to download drivers in the first place). Tried to create an account so i could contact tech support. Authorization link blew up on me. tried to get another authorization link. Same deal!

Worse graphics card I have ever purchased! I'm putting my old graphics card back in and sending this piece-of-crap back!

All I wanted to do was run two LCD monitors. No gaming, just office apps. For that this card is great. It did not conflict in any way with the resident integrated video card. Set-up was easy, it runs quiet. You can probably get one NIB for about $15 if you look in the right places.
