Southern writer from Mississippi whose heros are clever yet haven't made their success. Scully's protagonists attempt to solve riddles, saving themselves in the process. Through foreshadowing and trails of red-herring, serious questions present themselves. Perhaps saving the fate of a nation, or enhancing posterity. Regardless, Scully leaves no regrets. His characters are plot driven, and usually possess flaws, disabilities, or enhanced strengths. The writing can be inflammatory and thought provoking.
